20 Most Recent Motorola Mobility H710 Bluetooth Headset - Page 7 Questions & Answers

This is a common problem with the H710 and H715 which are essentially the same product. The microphone is failing or has failed. I have tried to find a replacement microphone on line but have not. I was thinking of calling Radio Shack to see if they carry.

Change the Microphone of your headset through some authorised service personnel.

Take it to the autorised service personnel for service

You must put it in pairing mode. If it has not been paired to other phones, just open its boom. After a while the indicator LED will be steady blue. Otherwise, if it has been previously paired to other devices, make sure the bluetooth radio of those devices are turned off. Then, open the boom and, as the headset won't find any devices already paired around, it will enter pairing mode automatically (again, indicated by the steady blue LED).
Once your headset is in pairing mode, make your phone's bluetooth application search for new devices. After a while, the H710 will show on screen. Select it and command it to proceed. If a passkey (or PIN, or pairing code) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros).

Be sure the the headset in in 'Pairing' mode.
When in pairing mode, the light should be flashing red and blue or have a steady blue.
The put most headsets in pairing mode, turn headset OFF, then hold the power button until it goes into pairing mode as discribed above.
Then you can discover it with your phone or PC. Pin (pass key) should be 0000 (4 Zeros) or try 1111, 1234, 9999

Try charging it for 24 hours, this should reset the headset. then completely delete the pairing and repair the device. If this doesn't work, there could be a problem with the mic portion of the headset.

Check your Bluetooth visibility
It has to be set to ALL
Yours may be set to HIDDEN, which means they cannot "hear you"

have you put the motorla headset in pairing mode?
hold down the middle button for 6 seconds till the light stays solid, then open the boom mic and the light should remain solid indicating the headset is in pairing mode

The microphones on the h710 seem to be very susseptable to moisture. My first one failed to work after soaking in coffee,,,oops! My seocnd one worked great until I was out working in a field and had it in my shirt pocket. My shirt was damp with sweat. Never worked right again. same issue, I can hear just fine with it but person at the other end say they can hardly hear me. too bad, I lobe it, but they are unreliable

Hi, from what you have explained so far, and the right step which you have taken because i would have also recommended that. I think you are having a compatibility problem with the headset, which i will strongly advice you to change/replace. Because whenever this happens, the only way out is to replace the headset, since it cannot be fixed...

In order to synchronize you need to pair the device . This can be done once you enter passkey in both devices which you want to sync . For example you enter 1234 in motorola same should be entered in blackberry .
