My CDA-9886 usb error
I just got an A-male to A-female USB extension cable to hook up to the back of my Alpine CDA-9886 headunit and connect to my 32GB USB. All of the songs are MP3 and works with my brother's headunit. But when the USB is plugged into my headunit, it says error. How can I fix this?
Wiring for alpine cda-9886 into a 2008 hyundai
Here is the best I can do for you, it's a link to a forum where someone has given details of an 05 Tuscon. I doubt very much that the wiring would have changed between models.

You then match up the colours/purposes to the table you will have in the book for the CD Player.
It will be quite easy to do.
Alternatively, buy a harness/loom which will do the conversion for you.
If you need more help, then let me know somehow.. I'm not sure how this site works, as I've literally just stumbled across it looking for something else through Google, and figured I'd have a shot at answering your question.

the unit may see a short in one of the speakers that is causing the transistor to protect itself by shutting down. Try changing the balance and fade settings to listen to one speaker at a time. If any speaker isn't working, that would be the one causing the problem. If you disconnect the speaker and the problem resolves, the speaker is bad. If the problem doesn't resolve, the problem is in the wiring or an internal short in the head unit. In fact, you may want to start at the head unit and disconnect the bad channel from the head unit. That way you can discover right away if the short is internal. You can even disconnect all the speakers at the head unit and turn up the volume. If it cuts out, it has to be an internal short. If you're good with electronics, you may be able to find the short inside. OK?
My unit does not want
Are you using the factory wire harness for front and rear speakers? The amp should have a fuse in the rear of it, and the car should also have a fuse that's linked with your stereo. It is common that one of these fuses popped when you placed the deck back into it's home especially if a power wire has an exposed part. If you use quick connectors and did not solder and use shrink tube then this is more than likely the cooperate.
I have had my Alpine
you need to reset the sirius alpine adapter, just remuve the positive (red) from battery terminal under the hood for 2 mins, or find the yellow power wire from the adaptor and disconec for 1 min.
How can i get my mp3 player to play threw my radio
There are two ways it can be done:
1. You can buy a FM transmitter which will air your mp3 songs through the airwaves to a certain frequency to the radio. Sound levels are often isn't as good as one would like.
2. There should be a cable that came with the HU which one can connect it directly to the mp3 player if it is an Ipod, if not there should be an aux port in the back or in front of the HU to play the mp3.
I have a alpine cda-9886 and 2 days ago while i
there should be an inline fuse that is on the back of the radio. i know I would hate to do this too but I would take the radio out check the fuse on the back of the radio along with the inline fuse in the cables. Also you need to check your connections mainly your power cables. Make sure that they are not touching ground and make sure that all of your wires are reinforced with electrical tape. I know with satellite TV boxes like DirecTV and Dish Network, if they're "out of the stream" either unhooked from the satellite cable or unplugged for an extended term, they change the card codes a bit and their boxes need a "hit" from them. Basically DTV or Dish just sends down an update for your box / card. I think your satellite radio may have a similar issue. Call Sirius and explain your problem, they should be able to give your receiver a "hit" or an update and if that's the problem, you'll be up and working again.
Setting up the functions for my alpine cda-9886
It is really a preference. Try increasing, then decreasing each on the type of music you listen to and experiment untill it sounds good to you. It will also depend on the abilities of your speakers.
