Sylbania LC427SSX Power comes on and light goes to solid green but, have no picture.

if the audio works then the inverter board would be suspect. If audio doesnt work either then the main board would be suspect. You can get replacement boards from www.tvcircuitboards.com

What does it mean when my proscan has no sound? will it work if a external speaker is hooked up, if so, where do i plug it in?

Look first in menu to see if speakers somehow are switched to off. Look to see if sound with a DVD etc connected to one of the rear sets of inputs----also depending on hookup a cable or sat box can cause this also.

Remote sensor on tv not responding

Have you checked your remote to see if its working? If you have a digital camera or camera phone, point the remote at the lense and see if it shows up on camera screen. If it is working then the IR sensor on the tv could be bad.

The setup menu keeps flashing on the screen and I cant' get it to stop also the remote control is not working

Reset your TV. Unplug it from AC mains, and pulg it back after 5 minutes of so. This must make it a hard reset. If this do not help you, contact the service center.
