Westinghouse flat panel with DVD
Hi,
Please let me know the exact model no. of your unit, it will help diagnose where the fault came from.
Also, confirm first the status of the signal from your cable provider, try to hook up the cable wire to another TV to determine if the signal is not the issue here.

Good day!!!
please try to unplug your TV at least 30 minutes to discharge all stored voltage....
Normally if the TV logo appear and the background is white or sometimes blue the TV is on the standby mode...it only need to reset..
I have my blue power
If you cannot get picture or sound with any video sources, I.E. DVD, XBOX, etc., then it is not the cable problem.
Most failure in TV's are due to bad power supply caused by bad caps, blown components.
So the power supply module will be the first palce to look, right now the standby 5vdc is working but not the 12vdc (for sound) or the 24vdc for the backlights inverter boards. it can also be due to the main board is not sending the PS_ON (Power Supply_ON) signal to the power supply module.

Sound but the screen on
By "sound but the screen on my westinghouse 32 inch flat screen is solid lime green" Do you mean that you have sound but the screen is green? If yes it means that an analog signal is being fed to a digital input. Did you recently change the input cables at the back from one port to another? If not then please describe what are colors of the cabels you are using(Yellow, Red, White or Red Blue Gren etc.,) and what port they are connected to so that I can tell you whether its a problem with the connections or the tv itself.

Hi, Check that the plug has power. Use a light to do this. Also check the TV cord maybe bad.
Check breaker pannel. Make absolute sure that you have power getting to the TV. If all is good you need a repairman. Good luck
Hooked up to a Directv
No pictures on ALL mode? DVD, DIRECT TV, etc? How about using the component video output or composite video out put of the Direct TV?

If it is TV problem, then please try this:
First, look at the screen in darkened room to see if you can see any slight glow from the screen, if it does, then the problem can be the T-CON (not getting the 12vdc) or the main logic board not feeding the signals to the T-CON board.
if not, next place to check will be the power supply module, make sure it has 24vdc which is required by the backlight inverter to work, the reason for not having 24vdc can be from bad DC filter caps (leaking/bulging top, high ESR) or short circuits in the inverter board which will cause the 24vdc supply to go into shutdown mode, so you may have to disconnect the power cable that feed the inverter board to see if the 24vdc will work without the inverter board hookup, you will need to apply about 3~4 amp of load to the 24vdc to make sure it can handle that. There are fuses on the backlight inverter boards also. So there is some troubleshooting you will have to do to find out the causes of the problem you are having.

My Westinghouse tv shuts off
I'm not sure but I think it could be the power supply, probably swollen capacitors, they can be changed but ownly by a good tech.
Good luck!
No picture sound only, blue light stays on
0ne of 3 has failed:
(in order of probability):
1. Backlight inverter
2. Power Supply
3. Backlight
Please seek the expertise of an experienced TV repair technician - as
they contain potentially lethal voltages that must be properly
discharged before work can begin.

My remote stopped working, its the rmc-02
Of course you need to change the batteries and be sure you install them correctly..and if you have done this without a fix, the best thing to do is do a google search of the rmc-02 and you will find where to get a new remote. It is unlikely to be in the tv set however it can occur. But a new remote at a reasonable price will let you know if it is in the set. This will be the least costly way to find out because fixing the tv if it is the problem could cost a lot more.
Lost remote want to use
On the TV itself, MENU, SET-UP, INPUT, VIDEO then go to Channel lock and de-select it.
Hope this helps. If you post a model number, I can probably get you a manual.
Good luck, R.J.
Had electrical storm last night.
If your TV has a reset switch on the back, use it. If not, Unplug the TV, hold the power button down for 30 seconds, let it go and remain unplugged for another 5 minutes or so.
Plug it back in, and see what happens. Try changing the inputs/channels/etc to see what happens. If you're still having this issue, Take your TV in for repair.
- Sidenote, a $25 power bar with built in protection curcuits are the easiest way to protect your equipment from this kind of thing, and quite a bit cheaper than forking over $300 for a new TV everytime there's thinder and lighting.
