Wife was watching tv when the tv went black but

Your LCD backlighting system is not functioning.Your LCD main board should detect the problem and would give you and error code. This needs an immediate service.See if the Tv is under warranty then you can return it an get a replacement. It usually the inverter that has the problem but also either one(even just one)baclighting bulb goes off it will shut off all the backlighting bulbs, thus a sound with no picture as a result.

Where i can exchange resolution

Not sure what you mean. If you mean change the display resolution then depending on the device you have to tell your device the resolution. Like for the Xbox there is a section in the configuration where you can tell it to use a lower or higher resolution. On a pc it's as simple as changing the resolution like normal.

My lg remote is not working on my tv anymore

First:
Testing remote control: The remote control puts out IR (InfraRed) signal that human eyes cannot see, to find out if the remote is sending out the signal or not you just point the remote at the digital camera's Lens (Digital Camera can detect IR), you should see flashing light on the camera's screen when any one of the remote button is pushed. If you do see the flashing on the camera, then the problem is in the TV IR receiver or the main logic board; more troubleshooting with scope will be needed to look at the signals. http://www.everytvremote.com/ If the remote is sending out the signals, then you will need to look at the back of the TV and look for "IR remote" input jack, insert a miniphone plug into the jack in and out 3 or 4 time to clean the switch contact in the jack, this switch is used to select the IR receiver in the front of the TV or the External IR receiver module. The remote to the tv

SOunds like the remote needs to be reprogrammed with codes to work for both. They would operate on two different codes. Need to look at the remote device to see what codes are recommended in the setup.Universal remotes have their own codes that don't always work on other remotes too. Also take into consideration, does the remote go to the tv you are trying to control or are you using a different remote, trying to control your different units from the same remote. Comcast, Tivo, Directv, etc all come with their own remotes that can be programmed to operate more than one device, similar to that of a universal remote.

Google "program your remote for a tv" to get different results. You may need to google the model # of your remote too to see how to program it properly.

Good luck.

When i switch my xbox 360 on the screen comes on

It is most likely your inputs that are messing up. This links to the mainboard of the tv (tuner board). You will need to check that your systems are properly hooked up and "snug" on the ports. If that doesn't fix the problem you will need to seek a new mainboard and replace.

Please rate if this helped :)

Receiving invalid format message when

This may simply be a setting or something incorrectly set? in any event, follow this through, and all should be well. You MUST make sure you have the latest Video Card drivers installed too, before attempting to connect it all up. At the rear or side of the PC there should be either or both of a 15 Pin DIN Plug, HDMI socket. or a Yellow RCA or 4 -7 pin DIN. Now IF these are present then YES you can connect to a TV. Now some TV's have a connector a DB15 MALE, so that the cable from the PC to the TV, is DB15. this plugs in directly, with appropriate DB15 cable. This, however, will ONLY take the VIDEO to the TV, Audio is delivered via the "Audio Out" Jack on PC, and Plugged into the AV Sockets on the TV, with a dual cored coaxial cable, they are Red & White. Some PC's also have a Yellow RCA Connector, OR a 4 -7 Pin DIN Socket, that requires a Special Adapter Cable (That generally came with the unit, and are colored and marked as to output) to use, for Video/Audio Out to TV. This signal is Composite or SVHS Video & Stereo Out. This connects up TO the TV's Composite/SVHS input Jacks and the Red & White Audio IN, RCA Jacks, &/or DIN SVHS socket. Also we have "Component Video" marked "Y" "Pb" & "Pr" these simply go color to color at BOTH ends, this is where the Red, Green, & Blues, colored Ends, of the Wires, goes, remembering that this is ALL only Video. With this method, you still must use the AV, red & White, Audio, Inputs to get the "Sound" into the unit
First you need to know if your PC can output to a TV. Then you need to get the adapter & cables that connect the PC to the TV. Then you need the correct TV drivers installed for your video card. When they are all installed, you need to "Enable" that Monitors, the TV's, Desktop. You need to set either a "Cloned" display or "Spanned, Extended Desktop". Go to "Display Settings" Now ensure the TV/Monitor connected has the correct input/output display settings. Adjust the screens resolution via the resoloution "Slider", it is best to start with, 800x600 32 bit color. or even lower. and once working OK, THEN increase to max resolution, your TV can handle, find out from manual. Once it is all connected up. It should all just work great. Now, from then on, &, to get it to work every-time, the process is. Turn everything OFF. Connect the leads between PC & TV, Turn the TV, ON. Then, startup the PC up. It should "Detect" that it has TWO "Monitors" ie: One Monitor & One TV/Monitor, & you should see your desktop appear after a bit. Now you have screen 1 & screens 2. Now, if you are using "Cloned" mode, then whatever is displayed on the Master monitor, will be displayed on the TV. If you used Spanned, mode, in this mode, however, you will have to."Drag" the Video window, over to the TV, and it is though, you have one "Big Desktop". Now IF using Nvidia or ATI then BOTH of those have thier OWN, Control Panel, this, all then can make it all a lot easier to do it. So I would suggest that this method be used. But if you get stuck, or just want to do it by hand, then the the "By Hand" method is the only way. There is a great program called MultiMon, this allows great control over dual displays, and is well worth installing.

No power to tv

Hello, Thanks for the opportunity to help.

Your issue sounds like you got a problem with the TV's power supply unit inside but first lets unplug the tv from the wall wait about 1 min or so then plug it back in.

Sometimes hardware needs to reset, many times this is caused by a brown out or a short power failure while the tv was in stand by mode.

After verifying the following:

1. Testing the outlet with another appliance
2. Checking your breaker box

Many times the fuse inside the tv's power supply gets blown out. What needs to be done is first after checking if the tv works after power cycle, You would ether check this into a local shop (about $50) for s fuse change out or simply do it yourself.

Before you decide to break into the TV cabinet allow me to warn you of possible hazards.

These Tv's are only to be service by a professional, doing it yourself you understand and take all risk and responsibility for damage, injury or death. You hold harmless fixya.com or its experts of any of those instances.

What you need to do is get a Philips screw driver, loosen up the back, the power supply is in a metal shroud and that is where the fuse will be. Make sure you match up the values of this fuse as you can blow the unit.

The issue your describing is a Fuse or a power supply issue.

Thanks for using Fixya.com, I hope you find this very helpful. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/edwy_1a56970cf1ea4620
