Sony Bravia KDL-46V4100 46 in. LCD HDTV - Page 5 Questions & Answers
Hi i getting a flashing
In most cases the standby light might blink with different rapidity to indicate a fault relevant to the processor. It is possible that most of these indicate that there are errors in the processing section . Since there is a possible short or leak in the circuit the output driver section can take in huge current to trip the SMPS or from advice from the micro processor. Remove the power plugs and make sure that high voltage sections are discharged of the potential stored in capacitors. Look for visible signs of leak or of busted capacitors. Look for bulged capacitors or damaged components- burnt or busted. Use a multimeter to check the continuity or shorting in components, if so detach from circuit and test . If the voltage builds up and the set power ON and then shuts up then the suspected section must be checked in detail.

The processor must have the +5 voltage to the function properly , the +B and secondary voltages also must be checked to infer the fault. Trace with caution and in running through the signal path , circuit trail.

Hi my sony bravia kdl-46v4100
It's probably a station channel, channels broadcast different picture and sound quality, therefore when changing channels this can be noticable. It is probably not a tv problem.
Standby indicator light is flashing 5 times
this problem is common to all lcd they have a weak power supply. Indicator light flashes 5 times this signifies that your power supply is already damage, i have a simple advice you should unplug your tv when not in use or use a uninteruptable power supply or automatic voltage regulator. it can be fix but for sure it will not last long you should replace it with a new power supply.
Problem is still the same as soon as I turned on
1- What was the initial problem and did you get any advice/ solution for that?
2- Please reconfirm tv model, question shows it is Sony KDL-46V4100 tv.
3- How many timer light is blinking after 3 seconds long pause?
These info will help me to diagnose the problem.
Thanks.
I have external speakers /
I do not want to sound patronizing, but I have no idea how much you know about wiring ... so I'm probably going to over-explain everything. Hopefully it won't read like stereo instructions ... ha ha ha
Depending on your TV, theremight be a door covering the wire access .. or there might be audio outputs on the front of your TV ... but these are more likely to be inputs for game consoles and other things. You should have a red and a white jack in the back of your TV marked "Audio Out" ... those are left and right audio outputs from your TV. Use RCA cables from Radio Shack or wherever and connect that to your amp left and right audio inputs -- the RCA jacks should be the same color as the wire connecting them, which makes it easier to trace wires later. Generally, the amp should have a red and a white RCA jack as well .. make sure they match your wires , too ... or you'll end up hearing things in reverse. You should find sterio wire inputs on the back of your amp -- if your speakers have the wire connected, set them up and then plug them into the appropriate jacks. There shoud be some sort of lever on the side of each of thee jacks, push it open and insert the wires. Some of these are spring-loaded so you might have to keep your finger on it to hold it open. Just put a bare cord from the speaker into it, and make sure the lever closes again, securing the wire. Your amp should have the left and right speaker outputs, subwoffer output, and everything labeled, but you'll probably need a lot of light on it to see it (usually it is just a recessed or relief letter L and R for the left and right speakers.
I am not exactly well off, so most of the electronics I have are a bit old. You might only have a different audio output from your television, in which case I would recommend speaking with someone at Radio Shack -- they tend to know a lot about wiring electronics together (more than at Best Buy or other big-box stores) or if you don't have one of those around, find a local electronics store, or a pawn shop ... people who work in these types of places usually enjoy the challenge of putting a round plug into a square jack.
There is one pixel out on our TV. Is there
In 99.9% of the cases there isn't anything you can do except replace the panel. That last 0.01% are not dead pixels but "stuck" pixels and can sometimes be fixed by lightly rubbing the screen with your finger.
My sony bravia screen turned
When the color of the screen is complete green, you should not worry. That is the normal color that should be on the screen when no program is coming in because the cable box is off. So simply press OK on the remote of your digital box and your will see picture on your TV. If none appeared, then there is problem on your cable box. Call then your service provider.

I have a sony EX4/40
Hello
After connecting the TV with Laptop; set the output signal from the PC according to supported resolutions and timings. These resolutin and timing charts can be seen on page [14] of its user manual. If you don't have its user manual send your email address to me by FixYa. I'll send a copy of it to you by retrun mail. OK.

Try the flat cable from t-con board to main. I have had several that just had a loose connector. Also if set is less than 12 months old it can be repaired at no cost by a Sony service center. If it is only a few months out of the warranty contact Sony customer relations and ask for a concession repair.
