Hi the lines could be your screen. It can also be your t-con board. the T-con is the part that connects your signal board to the lcd scrren. it is located on the back of the screen attached to the screen. If you open up the TV it is located on the middle top of the screen under a metal or plastic shield. You can get parts for this TV at

Sounds like you are attempting to screw in the wrong length of bolt. Tv's generally use a shorter bolt and you should NOT attempt to screw it in any more than it will physically go - remember, there is sensitive electronics behind those holes that may break when you screw something in too far.
Just screw them in as far as they will go and leave it at that. Alternatively, go down to your local hardware store and find a bolt of the same size but shorter.

My Toshiba 52" tv is flickering on the right side.
Just confirm if this flicker happens on all the inputs ( DVD / Cable / etc: ).
Do this simple test. Put the TV into a blank screen mode ( DVD input with the DVD power off ) that is no picture just black screen or plane color screen with out any movement. You can choose HDMI input also. Turn off the room light, go to the back of the TV and look through the holes in the back, you will see a white light. That is the TV's LCD back lighting generated by a CFL lamp. See if the right side is flickering. If so you are having a lamp problem and will need replacement. For which you will need professional help & is gonna cost you too !!
My Toshiba flat screen appears
Exact same thing happened to my Toshiba. Purchased at Costco in Dec 2008. I haven't received any help either. Guess I will be buying a new tv. Not Toshiba ever again. Let me know if you found any way to repair.

Hello,
Follow the below instruction on how to the base off your Toshiba LCD TV;
- Turn off your Toshiba TV if it is on.
- Unplug your TV from the wall and any other devices (like DVD players or Blu-ray players) that it is connected to.
- Put a blanket, towel or some other kind of soft object down on the floor
(if you have hardwood floors and not carpeting in your home).
- Set your Toshiba TV down onto the soft surface with the screen facing downward toward the floor.
- Use a flat-head screwdriver to remove the two large, plastic bolts on
the rear of the TV stand's base. These bolts are holding the stand onto
your Toshiba TV. Set the bolts aside.
- Use your hand to pull the base off of the Toshiba TV. You will now be
able to set your TV completely on the ground. Put the base (as well as
the accompanying bolts) aside for safe-keeping, in case you ever need to
use them again.
I hope the above helps.
Good luck.

My 52" Toshiba Regza has a six inch vertical line
you must either change the t- con board, or the left board strip. it is dangerous because mines caught on fire. but most like since that strip is connected to the lcd screen u will have to replace the whole entire screen.
On the center of the screen it appears a thick
If your LCD still under warranty, I would suggest to get fix before it gets worse.
The
screen is defective since the line only appears intermittently but you can still try replacing the T-con board first.
Most failures with lines appearing on the screen are caused by the T-con board. The
Tcon board part number is:LJ94-02582B or 75014321 and you can find it
here.

This is caused by the failure of the T-Con board - the board that transforms the instruction data coming from the image processor in the actual commands for the pixels in the LCD panel.
This board must be replaced. You can buy it from here
