We would be happy to help you with getting your DISH Networkremote to control your Panasonic TV. We're going to start by pressing andholding the TV button located on the top of your remote until all mode buttonback lights come on, and then release. Use the number buttons to enter thecodes for your Panasonic TV; here some of the codes we currently have:512, 876, 780, 765, 689, and 819. Press the pound (#) button. To check that thecode works try several different functions on the remote to make sure it willproperly operate the TV. Remember that some codes may not be compatible withyour equipment. If this is the case, try the other codes listed for that deviceuntil you find one that is compatible with your equipment.

We hope this helps and thank you for being a valued DISH Network customer!

Tv isnt turning on, you will hear a click then see

Sounds like a power supply problem. I worked for a short period for Panasonic at their USA plasma R&D / small scale manufacturing facility and learned that to "ignite" or start the plasma when turning on the set, a significant current discharge is required.

The recycling seems to indicate that the "brain" in the set realized that a plasma has not been established, and it is attempting to recharge the starting circuit. The flashing power light is probably significant and a trained technician or a service manual will probably identify this as a trouble code pointing to the problem. Sorry, I did not have any exposure to the finished product and cannot advise what the code means.

If the set is still under warranty, you should act immediately and get the problem taken care of, because it will not go away on its own, and will most likely get worse. Sorry the news is not better. Good luck!

What looks like a water mark on the inside of a 42

Hi, Unfortunately with plasma screens, any still picture that is viewed for a lengthy period gets "burned" onto the screen. For example, scoreboards for sports games. Or another prime example would be a video game such as modern warfare where the map ring and the weapons list stay stationary during gameplay.

    Can i connect my panasonic

You can buy an HDMI to DVI adapter (around 20$) to connect your HDMI computer cable to your TV. You will need separates audios cables, right and left, to bring the sound to the TV.

There is a black bar that runs from top to bottom

All plasma TVs have boards that control vertical and horizontal output to their respective areas. They are connected to the screen by ribbon cables. If one of these boards fails all together, has a failed chip, a bad connection, or a bad ground somewhere it will result in a black line in the area of that board. A bad ribbon cable connection on the bottom will result in a vertical black bar though the screen. Many times resetting the connection will fix it, if the ribbon cable has been nicked there could be a severed connection. They an sometimes be fixed, but it is a pain. An yes I have done it, but the bar is gone. The same will happen if the chip that outputs to that area opens. The connectors are the first place to look paying close attention to the cable, they are extremely delicate so great care must be taken if you decide to tinker with em, the usually have lift locks that release them.
If the connectors are fine then your panel's gone, better buy a new TV

    I bought a tcp42s2 plasms

    Hi.

If the problem does not depend on the input, then the TV is faulty and must be repaired. Call Panasonic to verify warranty status or to get a quote on repair.

If the line is in the lower half of the picture, then it is either SD or SS board. In the upper half of the picture is the SU or SS board. Here a service manual.

    Here parts for this TV.

    Regards.

    Ginko.
