Can't power on TV occasionally
It is possible that the conductivity of a power diode is diminished after a period of time causing the unit to receive just under the needed current to function. Test the resistance of internal components after periods of tine or seek manufactures assistance.

To The Knight: followed your advice, nothing came up for my samsung LN52A650A1FXZA. will keep searching the problem.
Horizontal line problem is usually related with T'Con board itself. In rare cases, with panel too. There is details about this, at one or tow among the posts with the blog I've pointed out to you. I do clearly recall that, I've seen it there. It is a site, has more than 400 indexed pages on Google. a helpful one too. I've pointed out to many others, and most of them did find solutions to their problem there. I do get their responses too; by Fixya.
Just understand, an LCD TV is working mearly by some capacitors, and some users trusted as it is.
Contact any service technician. It will be the best.

Tv real slow about powering up
Happened to me. I called Samsung and they sent a serviceman out. I can't remember what the problem part was called but it was a problem they evidently knew about and fixed it for free...the first time. It hasn't done it again (knock on wood)...so you should call them if it's a Samsung TV.
