Guitar not working properly

Check the D-pad on the guitar. Sometimes it can get stuck slightly and can count for accidental strumming. Also be sure to keep the button pressed firmly when playing chords. It is very sensitive to touch.

Sometimes when playing Guitar Hero on a LCD TV or some other types, there will be a small delay between what's shown on the screen and what's heard. You can go into the game options and set up manual calibration. It's a little rough around the edges, but it'll get the job done. Hope this helps!

Try turning the guitar on and off. If that doesn't work, chances are the button is jammed. You can try clearing it out with some dust-off from a nearby store, or by wiping it down with a damp paper towel. If you wipe it down, make surer the paper towel is not dripping, as that can damage the system. Hope this helps!

I have a Wii Guitar Hero 5 Guitar strum bar squeaking badly.

Easy fix for an adult with average mechanical skills -- take the guitar apart (see below) and lube the strum bar with a bit of petroleum jelly. They SHOULD assemble these at the factory with some sort of lube, but it seems that they don't. Ours started squeaking badly after only two weeks.
<<<DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK>>>
First, taking apart your guitar will VOID THE WARRANTY, so if you don't want to do that, contact the manufacturer to see what they'll do.
If you are no longer under warranty (or don't mind voiding it) remove the Wii remote: 1) Remove the Wii remote. Press the UNLOCK lever that's under where the Wii remote sits to remove the two parts that make up the guitar "body". They pop out first at the base near the 4-way directional. Just pop them back in (neck area first) to re-install. 2) Remove the "tuning" block by clicking the switch on the back to UNLOCK and pulling away from the neck. 3) Remove the 10 screws from the back of the guitar. NOTE: one is part of the strap hub on the neck. Also, the two at the very top of the neck are slightly smaller screws, so keep them separate from the rest. 4) Flip the guitar over and remove the tree screws from the cavity that holds the Wii remote. NOTE: one is under the "Warranty Void if Removed" sticker. 5) Using a flat plastic tool (like a plastic putty knife) CAREFULLY separate the two halves of the guitar body. I found it easiest to start at the bottom, where the strap connects. NOTE: (A) the bottom strap connector will come out as you separate the top of the body from the bottom. (B) Work your way to the neck slowly and carefully. You'll get there. (C) be sure to note how the spring loaded clip fits at the very top of the neck, it will fall out when you separate the two halves. When you put it back, the slanted part faces the top of the neck. *** WARNING: there's some wires, etc. inside. be sure not to damage anything as you take this apart. 6) Once inside the removal of the strum bar is pretty easy. Just take out the 4 screws from the circuit board. Next, remove the 4 screws that hold the bushings the strum bar fits into. 7) Once you have the strum bar switch out of the bushings, lube them with a bit of petroleum jelly. I just dipped a Q-Tip into the stuff and twirled it around inside the plastic bushing. Be fairly generous... you don't want to take your guitar apart again in a few weeks. Be sure to put all screws back in (two in each plastic bushing, 4 in the circuit board). Also, the screws were different sizes inside, so be sure to keep straight which screws go where. 8) Now just reverse everything you took apart. Your strum bar will be smooth as silk. Start at the very top of the neck (don't forget the little spring loaded latch--slanted part toward the top) and work your way to the bottom (don't forget to replace the strap holder.)
HINTS: Before you go crazy on the disassembly part, take some digital pictures as you go. Then if you get stuck and can't figure out where something goes you'll have something to fall back on.
We've been using our guitar for a couple of months after lubing it and it still is smooth and squeak free.

My whammy bar is broken

Hmm there really isn't much that I can think of, however, you can try to mess around with the broken piece and try to get it to reverse the effect. After all, it's broken anyways. If that doesn't work the only solution I can think of is investing in a new guitar. So just try to mess around with it, see what happens. Good luck!

I have a pega wireless

If it's wireless it has to be sync'ed with the Wii. But look for a little button somewhere on the guitar that either says "sync" or has a sync symbol (looks something like "o)))") and there's also a red button on the Wii by the SD card slot (on the front behind that little door).

Press those at the same time, and it should work.

Not to state the obvious, but there is an on/off switch on the back of the guitar that needs to be turned on, and then the dangler wireless receiver needs to be plugged in. Once all this is taking care of it There should be a blue light blinking signaling that it needs to be synced to the Wii.

To adjust the MIC's volume settings, you have to do this in the in-game settings menus (audio settings).

Hope this helps.

I was wondering how to

here is a step by step guide. First you'll need a compatible wireless router that can be found by going to the following site:
http://www.nintendowifi.com/
From there, select your country, which will then take you to the WiFi index page. On this page,
mouse over TECH SUPPORT at the top and from the menu that drops down, click on ROUTER INFO. Near
the top of the following page, under the words "I don't own a wireless router, help me find one!"
there is a "click here" link, which will finally take you to Nintendo's wireless router rating
page, which you can look through to either see if your router will work or if you don't have a
router, which one to get. For reference, if you live in North America, here is the router rating
page.
The following are pics I took of my TV when first setting up my Wii's internet connection...
From the wii home menu...

Go to Wii Options in the lower left.

Click on Wii Settings to the right.

From this first list, click the right arrow.

Now on page 2, click on Internet.

Then click Connection Settings.

From this list, click Connection 1.

Then, click Wireless Connection...

and then click Search for an Access Point.

It will briefly search for any access points and when this screen comes up, click OK.

The following will be a list of nearby access points. If the one you are looking for doesn't show
up, click Try again. Then, click the one you have access to...

When the following screen appears, click OK...

and OK again.

It will test the connection...

And if successful, the following will drop down. Click Yes to update Wii.

Sometimes the above screen is false, saying there is an update when there isn't and the following
will appear...

Now, back in Wii System Settings, click on WiiConnect24.

From the following list click WiiConnect24.

Click On and then Confirm to save your settings. This feature allows for updates to be seemlessly
sent to your Wii so you don't have to do the final step every time.

Ok, the final step, just as a way to make sure your Wii is up to date. Click the right arrow from
the 2nd page of Wii System Settings.

Click Wii System Update...

click yes...

it will test your connection for a few seconds...

an update screen may quickly come up and tell you there is an update (whether or not your Wii
actually needs one)

and the following screen will appear. Click Wii Menu to finish.

1 Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives. 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive. 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'. 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place. 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now. if you require further assistance please let me know and i will be glad to assist you. -Midwest-tek

My Wii Guitar recently started blinking non stop

Well you have to synchronise it to the wii by pressing the red button in the SD card spot on the wii. At the same time as pressing the button on the wii remote inside the the battery area. Or try replacing the batteries on the remote and guitar. Hope this helps. otherwise i can go look in the manual.
