Nintendo DS Lite Pink Console Questions & Answers
My ds lite won't turn on.
Regular tap water contains minerals that are left behind as the water dries out. So, even if you did get all the water out, the minerals can still cause damage. In addition, the DS has a 'soft power switch' and that means that as long as the battery is in the device (as it probably was when sprayed) there is electricity present that can destroy the unit while water is there. Most probably, the water already did some damage when the unit got wet and the minerals and/or previous damage may have finished the job later when the unit was turned on. Some water may have even been left in the system since it can hide in areas that the dry rice will not be able to "draw" out. The best way to dry out a device is quickly remove the battery, take the entire system apart and clean the individual components and run some distilled water over the components to remove the mineral content of tap water before it dries on the boards/contacts. The DS lite system is relatively inexpensive these days, I think your best solution might be buying a good used one off Ebay (units can be had for around $50 today). May want to take apart any cartridge you had in it the old one and check for water in there, just in case, before using it in the new(er) one, too. Sorry for the bad news.

The top screen on my ds lite keeps flickering
It might be worth checking the ribbon cable for the top screen is tight in the socket on the main board, this could explain why the screen gets back to normal when you close the ds then reopen. The ribbon cable for the top screen is in the hinge on the left side of the ds when open, the only way to check this is to take the back of the ds, to do this you will need a small philips screw driver and a tri-wing screw driver which you can get of ebay quite cheap. The worst possible fault is the top screen is faulty and needs to be changed, if you do a search in youtube you will find videos on how to do this, they are good and quite detailed. hope this helps.
DS lite was dropped and now it won't work.
They usually don't work properly after they've been dropped. Nintendo carries a 1 year warranty, they will replace it for free (but not if you've used cheat codes (Action Reply), etc). I wouldn't mention that you've dropped it when calling them.
On My DS Lite I Cannot Do A Wi-Fi Connection....
Well, there are some internet connections that do not work on the DS. The DS only supports WEP-key security. Also, double-check and make sure that you are close enough to the access point. And try to be more specific in descriptions if you want any answers.
