ip2700 can print an A4 photo.

Blocked print head nozzles Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent blocked print head nozzles. You may have blocked print head nozzles. Try the printer maintenance to clear the printer nozzles. After several deep cleaning attempts and there is no improvements in the print then a new print head is required.

Please check if there is not some dirt, or something blocking the contacts from reading. Also the ink level is measured by optical sensor that can also be dirty. Also make sure you use an Original Canon cartridge. It could be the chip on the cartridge has either gone bad or could no longer be reset. The chip is what tells the printer that it is ok to print (i.e. there is ink available and that the cartridge is approved). Some chips will only be reset with available procedures a few times. Other times refillers are not succesful in resetting the chip or just give you another cartridge that is already refilled and could just happen to have a bad chip. You should probably return the cartridge and try to get one that will work based on the argument that refilling is not only related to ink but also to chip. if its the correct cartridge for the printer take it out shake it and try putting it back in, if no luck its a faulty chip on the cartridge just needs to be returned to the shop.

hmmm as in a reset to the left that usually happens only on start up from nothing and then it settles in middle

have you tried cleaning the printheads ? There is an option for cleaning head in printer's properties : select this and you will be able to clean printehads for the canon iP2600

Lol!!! I was having the same exact problem--- looked in it, didn't see a thing, opened it, still didn't see a thing! I turned it over-- and sure enough, a pen fell out!! lol

I fixed mine!! I cut a letter size paper in half lengthwise (so it was skinny and long). Held the printer on my lap with both top and bottom trays open. I noticed the white pegs and skinny black roller inside were turning when I turned it on, so I waited til they were spinning and slid the paper between them along the right side. (Kind of a reverse feed). Had to do it between the crazy ink returns. Yes, the paper crumpled a little, and I did it a couple of times with a couple of papers. Something gave, because after that it started feeding properly again!

First off Check here and see if any of the items mentioned apply to you.

When the paper does not feed straight, dirty or stickyrollers can cause it to jamb or crinkle, also failure to remove all traces ofpaper from a previous paper jamb will cause further paper jambs.Check for tiny pieces of at the edges of the rollers, and remove these piecesof paper.The rollers may be dirty or sticky and causes the paper tonot feed straight.Try cleaning the rollers with methylated spirits.
