Power up your printer. You should hold the paper feed or the 'stop reset' button down for about 10 seconds.

You need to access printer status in your computer. Go to Control Panel and click on printer and Fax, in some its under Hardware. Right click on your computer icon and left click on Online.

Having same problem on 2 IP2600's - they say going to 'Maintenance' and choosing 'Roller Cleaning' should do it -- if that doesn't work expert says to clean it manually with ear swab & water (the roller is the little rubber circle in bottom right feeder area).

You can download the software and drivers from the manufacturer's support website by clicking this link

On the page which opens, select the operating system of your computer (Windows XP/ Vista..) from the drop-down menu (See attached image).

Then download the required drivers and software.

The list of available software and drivers will load only after selecting the operating system of the computer.

Hold down (most forward) paper feed button (yellow light) for about 30 seconds. Ink minder function will be turned off, and will no longer moniter ink level.

The ink-jet printers if not used get the ink dry and this can affect the quality of the printing as well as the print head. So it is recommended you use it every once in a while to avoid ink getting dried inside.

in the printing preferences you can find a box that is called GRAYSCALE PRINTING, check that box and you will be able to print only winth the black cartridge.

You can download it from here: http://www.canon.com/ and then go to support and driver select your country and then browse your product type "consumer & Home Office - Printer & Multifunction -PIXMA IP Series and then choose your printer and click Driver & software after clicking it it requires you to enter your Operating system you use enter it and then you can now start your downloading. after downloading the driver run it and then install it.

Hi there!!Please go to the printers and Faxes option in windows or printers under control panel!Click on it and a window with all the installed printers will be displayed!RIGHT click on the ip2600 picture and scroll down to properties!Click on that and it opens a window with a general,sharing,advanced tabs on top,Go to maintenance and click on it!Under maintenance you will find a reset ink counter button,Click on it and it will be reset to full!!Enjoy!!

check the printer setting in the help menu it will show you step by step how to replace your cartridges

To print a test page just go to Start, then Control Panel, in the control panel go to Printers. Find the printer on this list you want to print from and right click on it, go to PROPERTIES. At the bottom of this window you should have a print test page button.

Also, you can just open any document, go to FILE then PRINT and just try to print directly to the printer. Make sure the printer you want to print to is what is selected on the list.
