Do a test pattern to make sure printer is working. If all is fine try performing a reset of the electronics to factory defaults. Also re install the driver and check your settings.

Check power adapter voltages as mentioned on it, no put voltages? replace with same rated adapter, if adapter is working fine go for new printer.... it will gives you peace of mind..

Cartridge 21 & 21B are similar cartridges, instead of 21 can be replace with21B.. Only difference between them are economy in pricing & yield.. 21B is lesser cost than 21..But both genuine packs are manufactured by HP,

First of all understand what is cartridge the you can solve your problem your self in future if related same: The cartridge contains two parts 1. ink tank, 2. Pen(electronic nozzles controlled by mother board).. Ink tank contains ink & main source to pen to write,.. if ink is over you wont get any image.Ink is there but pen is not writing then no use..both conbination has work to gether to create image..As you said ink is there, but pen is not working due to ecetronic nozzles are faulty & this information with mother board, that's why its indicating that replace the cartrdige..And we can't repair it because of micro technology. See fig: 1. Container, 2.Nozzles. 3. Electronic contacts to control nozzles..Just replace the cartridge....

Remove the cartridges,switch on check initializing or not if initializing put cartridges one by one & find out which one faulty, if not initializing replace formatter...

In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer ONLY WHEN PROMPTED, to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
Activate head cleaning before a test is taken. Sometimes it is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the PC command or can be an issue with ink drying or poor ink cartridge contacts. Sometimes the power supply unit must be checked as a poor SMPS unit can deliver low voltage and cause issues to the printer function. Check all the leads and connections of the mother board , the tags to the ink cartridge. Also check the mechanical settings of the ink cartridge , if jammed or tight remove motor and manually free the drive before it is set back.

HP 21 black and HP 22 tricolor cartridges are the cartridges compatible with HP DESKJET D1560.HP 27 and 28 won't work with your printer because they won't get recognized by the machine.It will only give you an error message like incompatible cartridges.

Ok please try this reset procedure and then let me know the results.

• Make sure the machine is turned on
• Then press and hold down the power button
• Open and close the cartridge access door 4 times
• Once you have release the power button
• A printer self test should print out if this works

Hope this works for you.

Try turning both your pc and your printer off. then turn them on again. try taking out the black cartridge and try printing with the color one. if it prints, the black cartridge is the problem. If it still says "offline", and therefore you can not do anything, try replacing the usb cable. if that doesn't help, you can remove your printer's installation from your pc, and then add it again, that usually helps.

Try unistalling it on safemode.
