Windows XP users
- Insert the Windows XP bootable CD into the computer.
- When prompted to press any key to boot from the CD, press
any key.
- Once in the Windows XP setup menu press the "R"
key to repair Windows.
- Log into your Windows installation by pressing the
"1" key and pressing enter.
- You will then be prompted for your administrator password,
enter that password.
- Copy the below two files to the root
directory of the primary hard disk. In the below example we
are copying these files from the CD-ROM drive letter
"E". This letter may be different on your computer.
copy e:\i386\ntldr c:\
copy e:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\
- Once both of these files have been successfully copied,
remove the CD from the computer and reboot.

Had to reload Windows XP,
How did you reload Windows XP? Did you use the recovery CD shipped with the computer from the manufacturer, or did you use a Windows XP CD?
If your computer had Windows XP preinstalled on it and you are not using the manufacturer's restore CD, you will have to go to the manufacturer's website and download drivers from there, if they are available.

I NEED TO UP DATE
Since you mentioned update, i'm assuming you have an older graphics driver installed. I would right click on my computers, properties, hardware tab, device manager..
click on the "+" sign next to display adapters and that will show you the name of your graphics adapter. Do a search for it and you should be on your way assuming you can atleast navigate a support/drivers page.
Another way is to find the name of the motherboard which is usually indicated by the PCI slots on the motherboard. Do a search on it and find the manufacturer. Go to their support section and find your board and associated drivers page. Let's hope they do have some updated drivers for ya!
Good luck

I wiped my hard drive
Hi,
Get to the motherboard and list down the model or brand, (Ex. MSI 945GCM5-F) then search on the web its specification, there you'll find what drivers you need to install or download... go to driverguide.com or softpedia.com or your choice, get those drivers you need and install.
Hope this helps you a lot.
