How to use mitsubishi heat pump remote
i have a mitsibishi heat pump which i purchased 2years ago but have missed place the instruction manual are you able to help me with this. the problem i am having is setting the right temperature and function that i need.the model is msz-ge5ova, thank you
Remote handset is dead.
Based on what you said, the only way to solve the problem is to order a replacement hand held remote from Mitsubishi. You will have to program it to match the codes on your AC unit. The instructions on how to do that, should come with the replacement remote controller. Consult your Owner's Manual on how to order parts from Mitsubishi.

Outdoor unit stops and starts every 5 to 10
Hi,
The most common cause for the unit to cycle like that would be a low charge situation.
If you are low on freon the unit will cutout on low pressure and then when off the pressure will go back up and the cycle starts all over agian.....
Get a certified professional to check the unit out and fix the leak so that once recharged the unit will hold the freon.
The most common place for them to leak is the piping connection behind the indoor unit...although it could be the connection at the outdoor unit also...
These are flare connections and they can and do loosen up over time from the vibration...

Out door unit not running,
conduct shutt off the main breaker of your unit then after several minutes try to shut it on please adjust your thermostat setting conduct observation.
Frost on the return line why??

please make sure your air conditioner,s outdoor unit,s fan is working if its working and unit is well clean then it can be low freon gas problem ,
please refill freon gas there (if you know how to fill gas )
if don,t know then try to contact to a trained technician for further action .

Hi, if you are running this in cool when the icing occurs, there are several things that will cause this. #1, make sure the indoor fan is running up to full speed. #2, make sure that the indoor coil where the air comes in is clean and that the filter media is also clean and not clogged with dirt. The reason I asked if you were running it in cool when this happens is if this were a heat-pump and you were running it in heat, the ice would build up on the outdoor unit and you would have a defrost problem, so just forget that unless this is happening. If fan is running up to speed good and strong, the filter behind the cover on the indoor unit is clean and not clogged and the coil behind the indoor unit is clean, you will have a freon leak somewhere in the unit. Check what I have told you first. Use a ladder if you need to reach the indoor unit. Make sure all is clean and if the foam type filter is old and rotten, you can get some at a hardware store, like Home Depot, Ace Hardware, and so forth. If it continues to ice up, you do have a small freon leak and this will take a certified service tech to locate leak and recharge the system. Most leaks occur on these ductless splits at the freon lines where the lines screw together at the indoor coil to the outdoor unit. I have seen this happen many times as a A/C Refrigeration contractor. You do have a top of the line system I have to say, very little calls to make repairs on the Mitsubishi split system. Lets hope its just a coil or filter that is plugged up not letting air through the coil which will ice up the unit. Keep me posted and feel free to correct me if I was wrong about the way the unit is set up.Also, keep me posted on what you have found and if you have or have not solved the problem. Please get back to me.

two things that cause icing, lack of air over evaporator coil (needs cleaning) or low on refrigerant. While you are at it, hose out any debris in the outside coil.

It's a quite complicated procedure but i'll try to describe as best i can.
Below the air outlet there should be a couple of screws. They may have small tabs over them (purely for aesthetics!).
If you lift up the filter cover, remove the filters and remove filter cover (trying carefully not to break it... darn plastic!) there may be some screws above the air outlet.
Remove the fascia cover starting from the bottom. Pull it out over the louvre in the air outlet. It will be clipped at the top near the back. These can be difficult to undo. Once that's done, remove the cover.
For the next bit, make sure that the power is turned off to the unit. (power cord unplugged, isolator turned off or c/b off depending on power source)
Undo the screws on the power box.
Undo the screws on the drain tray and off the left side of the evaporator coil. (Big finned section of pipework). Make sure you support the evaporator coil as it's only connected with copper pipes which bend/kink fairly easily.
You'll need to pull the coil out a little (not too far) and take off the left hand rubber 'bearing' as such from the indoor fan barrell.
On the right hand side of the unit you'll find the fan motor (which is held in by the power box) There should be a grub screw that holds the fan barrell onto the shaft of the motor. This is usually undone with an allan key but have seen them with phillips head screws also. This grub screw might be in a few different places. It might simply be on the right end of the fan barrell or sometimes the righthand column of blades is missing a blade and the grub screw is accessed by putting allan key/screwdriver up missing portion. You only need to loosen the grub screw, not remove it.
Once loosened, the fan barrel can be pulled off the motor shaft and removed.
Once off, you can inspect it for obstructions or broken blades etc. To reassemble is just the reverse of these instructions.
Just a few things to note:
1. Be careful of the evaporator coil not to kink (or break!) the copper pipes or your a/c won't work properly.
2. The drain tray may have water in it if the a/c has been operating recently.
3. Make sure the power is off before pulling off the power box.
This can be a very difficult task and I would recommend having an assistant to help with holding stuff.
