testing every step and fix it. God bless you see the diagram attachedMicrowave Buttons Don't WorkTouchpad and Control PanelIf the microwave buttons don't work the touchpad and control panel assembly are probably defective.TouchpadIf the microwave buttons don't work the touchpad might be at fault. Generally speaking, if the dishwasher display is working and some of the buttons respond correctly but some don't, the problem is with the touchpad.User Control and Display BoardIf the microwave buttons don't work the user control and display board are most likely defective and will need to be replaced. If some of the buttons work and some don't, it is more likely a touch pad problem and the touch pad will need to be replaced.Main Control BoardIf the microwave buttons don't work the main control board is most likely defective and will need to be replaced. If some of the buttons work the touch pad is likely the problem. If none of the buttons work the problem may be in the main control board.1_24_2013_5_23_47_pm.gif1_24_2013_5_24_54_pm.jpg

I want to replace oven

If you are wanting to know who to replace the unit then I think I can help. If this unit is above the kitchen range then there should be a cabinet above the oven. You need to look there for 2 bolts that go thru the cabinet floor into the microwave. have someone there to help hold the oven as you take out the bolts and the oven will come down it is also in some cases hanging on a lip on the back of oven so let it down slowly. There should be a plug in the cabinet as well so you will need to unplug it. Installing the new one is the reverse.

Went to replace the bulb under the microwave and there was a loud 'pop'. Then the microwave was dead. Did not trip the breaker, and checked the fuse inside the microwave, and it is still fine, and so

< -- I see and repair this on a regular basis. Details are here . This failure occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line, as the warning label near the light socket advises. Feel free to contact me for more information.

Microwave does not heat. used as timer and has

If you ran this unit empty on full power as a timer, it burned out the magnetron. You have to have a load in a microwave or else there is nothing for the energy to work on so it backs up and destroys itself. It's like putting a potato in a tail pipe..... only worse....

Microwave door has burn spots on the glass of the door...

The brown spots are usually grease / smoke deposits. Usually there are indeed two sheets of glass in the door. If the grease is not arcing or smoking, and the metal screen / mesh (that blocks microwave leakage) is not damaged, then it's likely better left alone. It might be useful to boil a few cups of water with a little vinegar inside the microwave to help dissolve the deposits. In case you want to take it apart, I have attached a photo from a similar model that illustrates disassembly of the door. It is not necessary or advisable to remove the door or hinges when disassembling the door.

What is the cfm of a goldstar OTR microwave oven model mv-1500mg

CFM would be "cubic feet per minute", which is a measure of how much air the cooling or vent fan pushes. That specification is not listed in the Goldstar / LG owner's manuals or service manuals I've seen.If you might mean the cubic feet (CF) size of the cooking cavity, the M1500-series have 1.5CF capacities.

Location of fuse

Remove the cover. You will find the fuse near where the cord enters the cabinet. Make sure you get a proper replacement.

It doesnt matter how old a system was. components can be failed at any point in time. unplug the unit. carefully disassembly and visually check the diode near magnetron and capacitor, it might be broken. If seems good, check the thermostat continuity,if beeping. changage your magnetron. be careful capacitor store charges that deadly. discharge the capacitor first.
when you change mag. change the diode too.
