Cue button sticks

If the button sticks in the down position mechanically, sometimes there is a build up of sticky substances on the sides of the button plunger. If you take a small cotton-tipped applicator and apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol to it and rub on the sides of the button with it in the up position, this will help and sometimes eliminate the problem. It might take more than one try.

How to hook up to home amp

If home amp has a phono input and you have no turntable, plug the output of the MP3 player into the phono input and begin with the volume turned all the way down. If you do not have a phono input, you can plug something like a DJ mixer in to get that extra level of amplification you want for comfortable listening. If you do that, the MP3 player would plug into the turntable input and the mixer output would go to the available line level input of the home amp.The CD player has either the coaxial connector, which is not common for home amps, and a pair of "RCA" jacks (right and left) which are. The CD output can be connected to any avaialble line level input, such as anunused "Aux", "Tape In" "MD/VCR audio in, etc.

STANTON C324 NO DISK \r\nTHIS FIX THE PROBLEM AND

You need a new laser or laser mechanism. You can order one online no problem. The part number is: Sony KSS 213Q. make sure there is a Q at the end of it because sony makes a lot of different laser types and the one inside the Stanton C.324 is the Q. Yes the C.324 has Sony guts. You might also want to look into ordering a RF Signal Processor Chip. the part number is: CXA 2581N. Once again make sure the part number ends with a N. This part you might have a little more trouble finding online but it is possible. The laser mechanism you can find on Ebay for about 20$ to 30$ and if you order it from stanton magnetics it will run you about 200$. The signal processor I bought the other day from a Sony parts Dealer in my home town for 20$. Im having an Electronics Repair place do it for very cheap. If you send your stanton c.324 to stanton magnetics you will end up paying more than the turntable is worth brand new unless you have valid warranty still on it.

Hope I could help you with the problem. Cheers.

Not reading cds

There may be dust inside the unit on the laser. Try shoting some compressed air in the CD drive area to clean out. Also, ensure that the CD surface is clean, and try a different factory made audio CD. Sometimes CD players have problems reading "burned" CD's.

Stiff Platter

If the platter gets tipped, it MAY be dragging the case underneath. If it is tipping, investigate why that is happening. Could be the hub is cracked or shaft bent.

Some cd's wont load

Currently I have one that won't load or unload.

That problem is a slipping drive belt. It is a small square profile belt near the front left of the machine. There is not enough tension and the motor spins its pulley inside the belt. The mechanism it drives is the load and eject function.

The ejection mechanism must have a problem. I would take it in for servicing as eventually further damage could be done or a CD damaged.

Dust and dirt could cause this by getting in the gear rack that moves the read head.

Make sure no one has smoked cigarettes around this as that is devastating to the optics in the unit.

An internal cleaning is probably in order and there are very fragile elements within the unit. I would recommend taking it to a shop specializing in CD repairs unless you are really capable.

I assume you have verified that the power is good to the unit.

My staton cd play reads no disk

try using a cleaning disk, but ive found that those dont work that well, find the laser lens "near the motor that spins the cd" and use a micro fiber cloth, or eyeglasses cleaning cloth and gently wipe the lens in one direction, you can use rubbing alcohol on the cloth if you like, just blow on the lens to make sure its complely dry. if that does not work, then the laser may be burnt out.

Obviously it's the thickness of your labels. Use printable cd's or just get a cd pen and print on the cd.

NO Disc

The first step is to clean the lens of the player using a cotton swab and alcohol. If that failes to resolve the problem, it is likely that the optics are starting to fail and need to be replaced.

Please clean the lens and update this with the results.

Thanks,
Dan

No disc displayed more often sometimes all the time

It sounds like you are having a laser problem. Either the lens is dirty and out of calibration or the laser is getting ready to go completely. In any case it will have to be serviced. You can try cleaning the lens yourself if you are comfortable doing it. It is like doing it on a game console or a regular cd player.
