My 850sw is taking blurry

Hi,

If your photo is blurry, the only reason fo it problem with the auto focus sensor or the aperture adjustment during focus...

The focus mechanism is failing so your photo looks blurry, try using the camera in a bright environment and check whether the photo looks goods, if so then the there should be problem with the lens..

Even if your photo looks blurry environment, then i can suspect issue with the autofocus sensor..

Also check whether the camear lens is covered by moist air or dust particle, just clean the lens and shoot to see whether your pictures are good..

please leave me comment, if you need further assistance

The camera will not turn

Cases like this only occurs if the camera has gone bad or has a factory defect.

If you just picked it from a store just return it back for a replacement.

Good luck.

When I turn the camera on it beeps

The problem you describe is frequently due to weak/wrong batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera. Make sure that you have the correct battery type in the camera, and that they are fresh/fully charged. If the problem persists, remove the batteries and wipe the inside contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe the ends of the batteries and replace them in the camera. This clears up the problem about 90% of the time -- I hope it works for you.

Recharchable battery will not charge olympus

You can download a manual at this site.

It sounds like your battery is dead. How long have you had this camera? If the battery is not charged properly it will cause the life time to be cut in half or more. When charging these batteries you have to let them die completely before charging. This could be a major problem if your in the middle of taking pictures. I have two batteries for all my cameras that way I always have one on stand by. Hope this works. Let me know if I can help you with anything else.

Camera will not turn on. It was like this for a a

Your problem may be due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, chances are that your batteries need to be replaced because they're just too worn to properly power the camera. And then, of course, there's the possibility that your camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

After used in beach the camera turns on but no image shows up>

Well it might be waterproof, but it may not include saltwater proof. I think that is the case. If so, then the salt got into your camera and caused something to not work. I would take it in Olympus and let them look at it. It could just be a bad camera.

My guess the lcd screen was faulty or the water leaked in there and shortcircit it.

When camera is turned on the monitor is black,

hi..
A stuck shutter is common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open).
To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture. You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter.....

thank u

Clean or format card error on Olympus XD card

There are most likely some "corrupted" images on your xD card. Very often a card reader "writes" data to the card while transferring or copying images into the computer. When you re-insert the card back into the camera, it doesn't recognize the new data (because it didn't create it), and gives the error, usually requiring a complete formatting be performed. There are also problems if you use a reader to rotate images, then re-install the card in the camera. The best way to accomplish what you were doing is to transfer the images into a folder on your computer, as the camera shot them (don't rotate them first). That way, you haven't altered any data on the card. For now, however, I suggest you format the card in the camera, so you can start with a "clean slate". Good luck.
