I need some photo tips of taking heritage
I don't think that is an easy task on such a forum as this. This is a talent not a task that you can instill in such a limited media
My suggestion is to visit your local library and acquire some books on Architecture and photography. Taking a look at books that show Spanish Architecture of the Mooors or Iranian arch. will inspire you to become creative .
Even looking at Gaudi's buildings like Guell Park in Barcelona as well as The Familia Segrada will give you some guidance as to what is artistic as well as heritage. You can then start looking at buildings in your own envionment differently to what is obvious.

Canon flash won't pop up
Flash will not pop up automatically if you're in manual mode. Try putting it in the green auto mode, then try again. Still not working? See if the little flash symbol button is on OFF. If so, put it to ON or auto. Should work.
EOS utility not tranfering all images on card
You are better off to simply remove the card and either use your built in card reader or obtain a external USB card reader and transfer your images that way. All you have to do is open 2 "My Computer" windows. Simply drag your photos from your card to your C: drive.
The communication between camera and the lens is faulty
Improve the FixYa experience for everyone by voting. I want you to let me know if the solution(s) suggested were of any value. Constructive criticism is welcomed.Hi,I'm Ben and -- hopefully -- I can provide some meaningful assistance. This is a common problem with Canon SLR cameras. My suggested remedies are:
- Turn the camera off, remove the lens, gently blow on the contacts (gold dots/dashes) on the lens. Or you can wipe the contacts with a cloth lightly dampened (not wet) with rubbing alcohol.
- Reinsert the lens, turn the camera on.
- Still the same error?
- Open the battery compartment and remove the battery (while the camera is on.)
- Wait a few minutes and reinsert the battery.
- Still the same error - ship it off to Canon for service.
How do i take picture of the moon
I assume you want a picture of the moon and don't particularly care what the sky looks like.Consider a full moon. Just what are you taking a picture of? It's a landscape, right? Mountains, craters, etc. All under a bright midday sun without a cloud in the sky (the sky on the moon, not your sky). So what if the moon's a quarter of a million miles away from you, it's under the same sun. Yeah, it's a quarter of a million miles farther from the sun, but given the nearly one hundred million miles between the earth and the sun, the difference is negligible. There's an old photography rule called the "Sunny-16 Rule." It says that the proper exposure under sunny conditions is f/16 at a shutter speed that is a reciprocal of the film's ISO rating. So, at ISO 200 the proper exposure would be f/16 at 1/200 second (or equivalent, such as f/11 at 1/400 second). You'll have to switch the camera to the Manual exposure mode to do this. Ignore anything the camera's light meter says.Use this as a starting guideline. Take a picture and review it on the screen. Don't worry about the sky going pure black. You don't want the highlights to get blown out, or the moon will look like a white blob.
Got Error 99 on my 40D. Have done all the obvious:
Welcome to Fixya
Err 99 could mean several different things, such as... Memory Card, Lens or Lens contacts....
Here's what you can try:
Remove the memory card an enable "shooting with out memory card" and see if you still get the error. If it works your memory card is bad. Try another lens if you can. Clean the lens contacts with a pencil eraser (be careful not to get eraser dust in the camera body or in the lens). Worst case scenario is, Err 99 could be related to the shutter failing which would mean a trip to Canon.

You have dust on your sensor. your best bet is to get it cleaned professionally, . if you want to clean it yourself, get a kit like this
http://www.amazon.com/Digital-Survival-KIT-Sensor-Eclipse/dp/B000PNGM18/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1299393725&sr=1-2

40D flash will not pop up
i had this same problem with my 40D . you have to press the flash pop button and smack the side of the camera with your palm at the same time it clicks
Lost functions of camera
Setup Screen 3 has an option for "Clear all camera settings" which will reload the defaults. If that's not what you need, you could try re-installing the firmware, but if the firmware is corrupt, you likely can't launch it. If your camera is just locked up, try removing the battery and reinserting. If that doesn't do it, Canon's Tech support can be suprisingly helpful: 1-800-OK-CANON, or you can download the manual from
www.usa.canon.com - here's a shortcut to the 40D download page from the above site:
http://bit.ly/ch8RSK (The actual Camera Instruction Manual is the last item under "Guides and Manuals"). If I'm misunderstanding the problem, feel free to respond.
Canon 40D camera
When you turn on the camera, there's an option to turn the switch beyond "On", indicated by an angled line. Move your power selector switch there. Then half-trigger a scene and turn the Quick Control dial behind the camera to adjust the Exposure Compensation. Note: Being in "On" mode doesn't enable exposure compensation, leaving the settings stuck at previous.
Hi, I've been taking pictures outside when I've
this is what the canon people say to do for error 99
Read this!!!
The guy at tech support listened and then told me that the lens contacts were dirty and to get a pencil with an eraser on the end, just a regular old pencil with a red rubber eraser. Detach the lens from the camera, hold it so that the lens’ gold contacts are pointing down and lightly erase their exposed surface, cleaning them of any hand oil that might have gotten on them.
Do the same thing with the gold contacts inside the camera body. This is a bit harder but it’s doable: just hold camera so lens opening points down so no gunk falls in. Erase lightly. I used a lens cloth and dabbed at the contacts rather than blow them so as not to blow the erasings inside the camera.
I did this to each of my three lenses just to be sure. Lo and behold, it worked good luck have a nice day!!! :) :) :)

Will not release shutter on canon 40D
Cannon is notorious for their auto focus and automatic setting to be very discriminant. If you are to close to your subject while in these settings granted your strobe will fire and your flash may flip into position but the shutter just wont work. Cannon is trying to tell you you are too close. You need to back up. If you are trying to get that close up and don't have the proper lens that's all you are going to get.
It is best to go long lens then go for your close up.
