Olympus FE-310 Digital Camera - Page 6 Questions & Answers
I can not hear the videos that I have recorded on
You can't hear them becuase there isn't a speaker on the camera. You might be able to find an adapter that has two female ends, one for head phones and one for audio cables. Otherwise I'd suggest taking the camera to your local Radio Shack, or simmlar electronics store, or a camera store and explain your issue and they should be able to give you a good solution.
No flash
It could be that the camera has a light sensor on it and it is registering that there is enough light to take the picture.Check your camera manual to see if there is a way to change the flash settings.
Red light blinks but nothing happens

Sand in Lens of Olympus Fe-310 Digi Camera?
Try forcing the lens. More people have reported success with this method than with any of the other methods. HOWEVER, there's obviously some potential for damaging your camera by using this method. Variations include gently pulling, rotating, and/or twisting the lens barrel while hitting the power button. Attempt to gently straighten or align the barrel if it's crooked or twisted. Another variation includes looking for uneven gaps around the lens barrel, and then pushing on the side of the lens barrel that has the largest gap (note pushing the lens barrel all the way in is NOT recommended as it may become stuck there). While doing any of the above, listen for a click that indicates that the lens barrel guide pins may have reseated in their guide slots. If you hear this click, immediately stop and try the camera. The following photo illustrates unseated guide pins that would cause a lens error.

Repeatedly tap the padded/rubber usb cover on a hard surface with the intent of dislodging any particles that may be jamming the lens. Other variations include hitting a side of the camera against the palm of your hand. A lot of people have reported success with this method. HOWEVER, there is also some potential for damaging or dislodging internal components with this method, such as unseating ribbon cables, or cracking LCD screens.
How to clean up or delete all pictures from
Hi Tony.
If you have saved all the pictures you need from the camera, then a quick way to delete the pictures from the card is to use the camera's menu to format the card.
This will get rid of all the pictures and it will be ready for use again.
Thanks for choosing FixYa!!
Cannot get the computer to locate the camera.
Make sure the camera is on and pc is selected on the camera screen when connected to the computer. You will need to have PC highlighted and select ok on the camera as this starts the camera and computer to communicate. Once communication established the LCD screen of the camera goes dark and the computer should generate a removable disk drive. Check the System Tray (lower right corner beside the PC time) for Safely Remove Hardware. When you click on it, it should read "Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device Drive ?:" If you dont see that, then check the Device Manager to see if the camera is recognized as USB Mass Storage Device. The camera uses the driver usbstor.
