Camera wont turn on

Check the internal contacts for bent, broken or improper connections.
Try inserting and pressing the battery in the camera while keeping the battery door open to see if the camera powers (This may help you determine if the battery is being held in correctly by the battery holder or the battery door.)
Cameras using AA type batteries
Check that the battery door closes properly and is snapped into place properly. Make sure there are no cracks or any defections on the battery door.

NO CD ROM FOR OLYMPUS FE 170

This is an older model.
However, you could go to the olympus site and look for the software to download.
Try the link below :
For manual:
http://www.olympus.co.uk/consumer/208_manuals.cfm?prodID=archive
and for software to be installed on your computer, you could use the link below and downlad the latest software (for FE 310)
http://www.olympus.co.uk/consumer/205.htm

I am sure you will be able to locate the desired software. On the homepage of this site, these is a section for downloads itself.
Happy downloading.

My Olympus FE-310 has battery problems!

Try using rechargeable batteries.Unless date coded, you don't know how long batteries have been on a shelf, and with rechargeables, you know that the batteries are charged (provided they have not been charge cycled too many times.).

Olympus FE-310

The reset option is located when you hit the Menu button when in shooting mode - it is on the left hand side of the screen. You would click Reset and press Ok. It will show Reset Yes or No. Select Yes and press Ok. The camera will now be in factory default settings.

BLACK SCREEN WHEN TURNED ON

This is either a bad CCD or the lens aperture not opening. You could send it to mackcam.com or to olympus for an estimate. Might be looking at a $125 repair

Download pics onto PC

You can just go to My computer>choose the drive your camera is connected to> open the folder >select all>copy>you will given a litttle window to choose the copying location>choose the one you want and click ok. This will copy the photos to a folder of your choice and leave them on the camera as well. You do not need software to do this.

It keeps turning off

This usually means the batteries are almost dead. If rechargeable types, they can no longer hold a charge. If the batteries are fresh, try another set newly purchased.

I have Olympus FE330 and the Power button stuck in the depressed position and it turns the camera on and off.

First you need to get the button out. But if it is defect (I think it is) that won't help. Did you try to find out what is keeping the button in the depressed position? is it possible there is some dirt around the knob? Something you can remove?I don't think it is worth bringing it to a service center. If they need one hour to repair it will cost twice a new camera of that class. So when you can't get the know out, I think you should start saving up for a new camera.

Camera picture distorted Olympus fe -340 8.0 5xzoom

Could it be you changed something in the settings? Can you see the scene in a normal way before shooting? then it look to me the sensor an the camera have to be good. It is to much to tell you how, because you have to look that up in the manual, but, please try to set the camera in auto mode, because is you did set to in the scene mode, and than chose blurry background, or shooting through glass that could cause the distortion. I put the link for the manual down here, in case you can't find yours. Start at page 6 to see how to shoot in automatic. Be aware if you shoot ready shot (anti shake) on a tripodthe pictures will be blurred to. http://www.olympusamerica.com/files/oima_cckb/FE-320_X-835_C-540_FE-340_X-855_C-560_Instruction_Manual_EN.pdf

Replace Olympus fe330 lens shutter flex cable?

The socket for the remote shutter release cable is on the right side of the camera when facing the lens. It is about half way between the top and bottom of that side. Just plug it in and set your shutter option to use it.

Driver fe21o

Do you really want a driver? The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you ca use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).
