Not sure you can fix this, but most of the time the stripes are produced in a dark environment with one or a few bright lights. The streaks start on the bright light. Most of the time if you shoot the picture the streaks are not on the picture. You could try to switch the camera to the automatic, or perhaps night scene. If the streaks are there in normal light, I think your camera is defect.

Erasing data completely [MEMORY FOTMAT] / [FORMAT] In the settings menu you find Memory format / format choose that and confirm. BUT!!!! before you format, check if no important data is on the card. When you format the internal memory, your instruction manual (if still there) will be deleted, so first make a backup of that. I assume it actually says "write protect" and not "write project".Look at the memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

The LCD screen maybe faulty.Take your camera to an Olympus camera repairer for repair.

Question edited for clarity. It sounds like your battery has failed or have you tried two of them? Is there a date on the battery? They don't last forever. Check the charger for output using a digital multimeter.
