Camera wont load pics on to computer using usb port

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa. Organize edit and share your photos

Hi, I have buy Olympus fe-310 in oct 2008, from

After wasting many hours searching for someone that had the recommended Panasonic 1.7v batteries in stock (versus the standard 1.5v battery found everywhere) and trying a couple of suggestions to improve the battery / terminal contact, I decided on trying the solution provided by blackduk on this thread (http://www.fixya.com/support/t1595282-olympus_fe_310_battery_problems), with very slight modification.First I just placed the capacitor across the terminals and closed the battery door. It increased my shots per battery from about 10 to about 50. (Not great, but probably because the connection wasn't even as good as a 'cold solder'.) But it was enough of an improvement, and as the battery door never closed properly with this 'fix', I decided to go with soldering. Afterwards, I went through two battery sets in testing. Both times I got in excess of 300 images, with flash on all photos and zooming in and out while the flash charged!Instructions:Accessing the terminals was easy. Just remember, it is the thin front panel of the camera that comes off (after removing 6 screws). Facing the lens, the 4 long screws need to be returned to the right side and bottom of the camera. The 2 short screws need to be returned to the left of the camera. Measure and clip the wires on the capacitor. Have a hot iron. (Initially I didn't have it hot enough and singed the plastic trying to get a good join. Hotter for a shorter period makes a better solder and won't melt the plastic.) Tin the terminals. Grip your capacitor wire with needle nose pliers, hemostats or some other heat-sink when soldering. Do it. (Mine is far from a pretty piece of work, but functionally it is perfect - and you can't see my goofs once the face plate is back on.)Parts:I ordered the capacitors from Talon Electronics. I got Axial, instead of Surface Mount, with the same specifications blackduk provided. A quantity of five, Item Number TNC0019, 2.2uF 10V Molded Axial Tantalum Capacitors, cost me $7.23. That included shipping (they were .25¢ each). I ordered through www.talonix.com.Good Luck,AndrewIllustration:12_31_2011_12_25_16_am.jpg

I put fresh batteries in the camera & it's

its not your camera..
all Olympus FE 310 cameras have that problem
the manual for the camera says that the best batteries for the camera are the Panasonic Oxyride ones.. ive reasearched them and read reviews.. all the customer reviews say that theyre the best for cameras that die out quickley (like the Olympus FE 310)

I personally havent tried them yet because i dont know were to get them but you should look into it.. see of you like them.. they might be the right ones for your camera..

No sound when video taping

Hello beauknows,
I am a bit confused, is your digital camera fe 310 or fe 4000? If it is fe 310, it DOES have speakers. Go to setup, sound settings and make sure the volume is ON.

Olympus VR 310 start button not work, can not open

The non-functioning of the camera can be a fault in the shutter, zoom or auto focus sections and may be due to the failure of the Main control system or the drive. A simple was is to reset and we can try by removing the battery and card for some time. Now replace only the battery and while switching power ON, tap the lens hood on the palm of your hands so as to disengage any dirt or mechanism being struck. You can spray a degreasing spray on the lens hood sides and also assist the lens as it tries to come out, attempt to pull it out slowly while powering ON the camera. Also in some cases you can slid a thin film/paper on the lens hood sides to wipe out any dirt.

Tips to open and check for common faults: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2Mj3Qp3xYU&feature=related Use some air to blow between the lenses to dislodge any sand particles struck inside. Unless you are familiar with handling of small devices must you try and open. If so check the voltage on the motor drive check the auto focus and Zoom drives, it must be free with manual movement. If jammed the motor can be removed and released. If none of these works then you can think of taking consensus with the service centre.Get estimate before you decide. It will be good to have it checked at the authorised service as you do not have to run around for spares.

I bought an Olympus FE-310

The display being hazy or blurred can be due to failure of the LCD or the CCD which is the optical sensor of the camera. So to confirm check the older picture to be seen on the display. Confirm this by checking the card on your PC. If the pictures are seen to be good, then the LCD can be faulty, fault on the linking cable or the control board.

However if the older images are seen well then the LCD is working correctly and the fault can be failure of the CCD- charge coupled device in the camera. If you have accidently exposed the camera directly to high intensity light / sunlight, then it is possible that it is damaged. Remove the battery and keep the camera aside to reset and try as a last resort. Get estimate before you decide. It will be good to have it checked at the authorised service as you do not have to run around for spares.

Need to correct the date

Set the mode dial to something other than GUIDE. Press MENU. Use the cursor keys to select SETUP (wrench-and-hammer icon) and press OK/FUNC. Select the clock icon.

Hi.

You need a Micro SD card. It usually comes with an adapter so you can insert it into a card reader so you can use it in your computer too.

Keep saying battery empty evn

Some rechargeable batteries (NiCd and older NiMh) have a (bad) memory.
If they have, the charger cannot fully charge the batteries to their original
potential capacity.

Best thing to do is to buy new rechargeable batteries and a processor
controlled charger to prevent premature malfunction of your batteries.

There are new type precharged batteries which have a very low discharge
over time. Like the Sanyo Eneloop and such!

My Olympus FE-310 has battery problems!

I have the same model and I sort of took a page out of Solution #2.
I don't have electronic technician experience so I took one main insight: The Poor Design of the Conduction in the bottom cover.
Here's what I did: I took some Copper Wire (mine came from the wire you use to hang paintings) and some Aluminum Foil.
Next I wrapped the Copper Wire with the Foil. The piece was roughly slightly bigger than 1/2 of a Postage Stamp.
Then I inserted this metal square over the batteries and closed the cover.
I found that I could take more shots without the camera saying Battery Empty.
See if this works. So far it's touchy but it's been taking more photos than before.
