The water or ice dispenser
Hi,
Take the ice bucket out and look at the metal bar that runs along the bottom. This bar is the part that changes the unit from crushed to cubed. When' it is lifted up, it will produce cubed ice. Make sure that the bar goes into the plastic stirrup looking device in the back panel when you push the ice bucket back into place. If it slides underneath the stirrup, it will not pull the lever up. If everything checks good and it still won't make cubed ice, you'll need to order and replace the solenoid behind the back wall that pulled the stirrup up.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
Electrolux will not make ice. the water will dispense
Is the freezer cold enough? Should be close to 10 degrees.
Is there water or ice in the ice mold? If not put water in
it and see if it dumps the ice after it’s frozen. If there is ice, lift the cut off arm and let
it drop to see if it will start.
If it does dump the ice but don’t refill with water.
Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then
try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell
you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.
The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice
maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear
it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube
it will freeze. You can take the water
line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.
Electrolux wine cooler R134a door sensor
I don't see any door switch or sensor in the electrical diagram; maybe it's mounted on one of the circuit boards and is operated by a mechanical actuator. On most refrigerators, that's near the top of the door.
From what you describe, maybe you should check for a warped door or a loose, bent or worn door hinge.
Water not going to ice maker of electrolux icon no power to water inlet valve
If your Electrolux Icon ice maker is not receiving water and there is no power going to the water inlet valve, there are several possible causes:
- Faulty water inlet valve: The water inlet valve is responsible for controlling the flow of water into the ice maker. If it's faulty, it may not be opening to allow water to enter the ice maker. You can check the valve for continuity with a multimeter to determine if it's faulty.
- Frozen water line: If the water line leading to the ice maker is frozen, it may prevent water from reaching the ice maker. You can thaw the water line by turning off the power to the refrigerator and allowing it to thaw naturally or using a hair dryer to gently thaw the line.
- Faulty ice maker: If the ice maker is not sending the signal to the water inlet valve to open, it may be faulty. You can test the ice maker by manually advancing it to see if it completes a cycle and sends the signal to the water inlet valve.
- Wiring or control board issue: If there is no power going to the water inlet valve, there may be a wiring issue or a problem with the control board. You can test the wiring for continuity and check the control board for any visible signs of damage or burning.
If you're unsure how to proceed, it's recommended to consult a qualified appliance repair technician to diagnose and repair the issue.
Electrolux plhs268zcb1 fridge too cold
Hi,
please lower the temperature of the fridge as well and check if the freezing on the side stops. Otherwise, you can rub some salt on the ice to unfreeze that section if you'd like to do that.
Thank you.
My Electrolux fridge is collecting water under the trays. No visible drain.
Every fridge has a drain usually on the back wall bottom left inside the fridge; just above the compressor.
Without a drian there is no where for the condensation to go except under the drawers on under the food trays.
It does not look like a drain but it is there.
Some Electrolux refrigerators have a visible drain hole on the rear wall or behind the wall's access panel. In this case, you can flush the hole with hot water to dispel the blockage.
