How to change os

Hi

To change OS - Operating system, the easiest way if by upgrading your operating system from Windows XP to Vista or Windows 7 or others.

Here how it works. Open your computer and let it run your windows operating system until it finished loading the windows display. After, put the OS installer on your CDROM to upgrade it either to Vista or Windows 7 and it will run the upgrade process. Follow the procedure and it is easy to follow. It will reboot for 3 times and finish itself. And its done.

I hope it helps you.

We turn the computer on the lg symbol comes on

It does the same with another PC?

If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on: Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed LG monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/ Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

It won't turn on, no

The monitor has a power supply problem and sometimes involves the inverter transformer, the only thing you can try is attempt to take it apart and see if you can locate the fuse and check to see if it has blown, If changing the fuse fails the monitor is not cost effective to repair. Replacing the monitor is the cheapest and best option.

Lg Flatron L226wTQ, power button failing

Hello,

This problem is usually caused by a failure in the power supply board which in turn is caused by a failure of the filter capacitors. We have a repair guide article posted on our web site at: http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/lg-l226wtq-bf-monitor-repair/ Check out the article and then open your monitor up and look for the failed capacitors, replace them if found and you should be back going again.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

My LG 2234 flatron widesccreen

You have a power supply problem - 99% certainty here, as I am using a flatron monitor which had the same problem when I got it. There have been many solutions posted here regarding flat screen monitor power supply repair, which is a problem common to the monitor class, not just the brand (I also use an HP and an Acer which I repaired for the same problem). I refer you to a recent solution posted by FixYa guru budmrtn: http://www.fixya.com/support/t7497516-delayed_startup_lg227wtg_progressed.
His solution provides links to a wealth of photos and knowledge. I have reviewed his documentation and can find no fault in it.

My monitor says the OSD is locked I can't unlock

Hi,

The OSD can be enabled or disabled by pressing and holding the Menu button on the front panel for 10 seconds. If the OSD is locked, the warning message OSD Lock displays for ten seconds.
  • If the OSD is locked, press and hold the Menu button for 10 seconds to unlock the OSD.
  • If the OSD is unlocked, press and hold the Menu button for 10 seconds to lock the OSD

Or else you can try this method also, Hold the menu/ok button for ten seconds, to unlock the OSD. If this doesn't solve the problem, then it's probably the button that got stuck. Remove the casing, locate the menu button's contact switch on the circuit board, and try to release it using something thin like a screwdriver, x-acto knife, or set of plyers. If this doesn't work, chances are the menu button is stuck on a loop, sending a continuous signal to the board (which keeps locking/unlocking the OSD).
If so, your only solution (other than take it to a repair shop) is to remove it, by prying it off with a screwdriver or set of plyers. Of course, you'll lose access to the OSD features, but I guess this is better than to have a message stuck on front of your screen all the time..
