SD card format ng no card
1 Insert your SanDisk 8GB memory card into a card reader connected to your computer.
2 Double-click "Macintosh HD" on your desktop.
3 Click on the "Applications" folder, then the "Utilities" folder.
4 Double-click "Disk Utility". Look on the left side to locate the drive that says "SanDisk.
5 Select the capacity of the drive on the left side of the window. The capacity will state "8GB" or "8,388,608 kilobytes." Click on the "Erase" tab to format the memory card. When you see "SanDisk" listed as the device's name, the capacity will be located above. You need to select the capacity and not the device.
6 Select the appropriate "Volume Format." Under the "Volume Format" button, select the format you wish to use. Select "Mac OS Extended" if the SanDisk 8GB will only be used on Macs, or "MS-DOS (FAT)" if you will share the card between a Mac and PC. Select "Erase" to complete the format of your SanDisk 8GB memory card.

I need to know what kind of apple computer i need
I think all the new apples will do, if you are worried take your camcorder to an apple store or future shop or other retailer and they should let you connect to a shop machine and try.

Transfer from pz card shot on HD to mini DV tape
you can transfer to DV tape only by using software like Edius 6 or a similar one.
First you download the p2 card on the hard drive and then you use this program to convert the video file to DV and use the camcorder as recorder connecting to pc via firewire .

A grinding sound coming from inside the camera (PanasonicHVX200A)
If noise occured during while OIS function is on,then must lubricate the axis inside lens underneath the ccd block.Due to friction of the movement of the coil used for moving lens for optical stabilizing function makes noise, but if this is not the problem, camera board must be next suspect,so first clean and lubricate and after ask service for cost.So generally speaking ,the problem is on the lens unit ,or the camera board which drives it...

Panasonic HVX200 will not play back tape
Your playback heads might be clogged. I am not sure if this camera with give you a RF warning if your record heads get clogged. Also most professional machines drums are rated at 1000 - 1500 hours before they need to be replaced. If you are at 500 and never cleaned the heads it is time to. Run a cleaning tape a few times.

Panasonic Palmcorder model VJAW0032. No audio during playback. Has anyone had similar problems?
Having camera issues is always a pain, Here are a few trouble shooting ideas to see if it can solve the issue.
try cleaning the playback head: If the audio issue persists with all recordings, it's possible that the playback head may be dirty. Over time, dust and debris can accumulate on the head, affecting the audio quality. Try using a head cleaning tape to clean the playback head following the manufacturer's instructions.
Check the audio output connections: Ensure that the audio output connections (e.g., headphone jack, AV output) are secure and properly connected. If you are using external speakers or headphones, try them with other devices to ensure they are functioning correctly.
Test with different playback devices: Try playing back the recorded video on a different device like a computer or another video player. This will help you determine if the audio issue is specific to the Palmcorder or if the video file itself is corrupted.
Update firmware or software: Check the Panasonic website for any firmware updates or software patches that might address audio playback issues. Follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer for updating your Palmcorder.
Lastly Reset to factory settings: If none of the above steps resolve the problem, consider performing a factory reset on the Palmcorder. This will reset all settings to their default values, and it might help if the issue is caused by a software misconfiguration.
I have a Panasonic PV-GS85 palmcorder. The cassette mechanism will not release. When I open the hinged door, I hear a click and then nothing. Is there a manual release for the cassette?
In the Panasonic PV-GS85 palmcorder, there is typically a manual release option for the cassette mechanism. Here's what you can try to manually release the cassette:
- Ensure the palmcorder is turned off: Make sure the power is turned off before attempting any manual release.
- Locate the manual release switch: On the palmcorder, look for a small lever or switch near the cassette compartment. It is usually labeled "Eject" or "Manual Release."
- Engage the manual release: Use your finger or a small tool (such as a pen or paperclip) to gently slide or press the manual release switch. Apply gentle pressure in the direction indicated (usually towards the open position) while pressing the switch.
- Open the cassette compartment: While holding or engaging the manual release, try to open the cassette compartment by gently pulling it open. The manual release should override any locking mechanism and allow the compartment to open.
