Loose connection or fader/pot needing cleaning. Try selective tapping and wobbling until you locate it. You could try contact cleaner if it's a pot/fader otherwise it's out with the iron unless it's just a loose lead internally.

You do not give enough info to even start suggesting answers. What are you using (model numbers) and what do you mean by freeze? Do the protect lights light up when you turn it on? There is a soft start circuit that should delay for about 3 seconds when powering it up, it sounds as if this is not working. If you don't get the protect lights for a second or so when turning it on then this has failed and you need to get it serviced and repaired before more goes wrong.

You have a button on the front that says, "power amp routing". If the button is pushed in, the left will power mains in mono and the right will power the monitors in mono. Make sure this button is off for stereo.
