Peg Perego Gaucho Superpower Questions & Answers
24 volt Gaucho will run a few feet than stop.
It's your circuit board / breakers that are doing that, as perego quotes, to keep it from destroying the gears if they get overheated. It's $100+ for a new one thru them. Check out the site modifiedpowerwheels.com , many people convert these to run off scooter controllers (like I did to ours).
Green and red battery lights blink--wont run
I have the same issue. Called their customer service and they said it was a defect in the charging system. They are sending a upgrade
kit for free, but when it's installed you can't charge the battery
using the rear port anymore. No big deal. I'll report back when the fix
is complete. 5-7 days until it gets here.
My Thomas 6v Ride -On Train works, but VERY slow.
It sounds to me like your battery needs to be replaced. The batteries lose their ability to hold a full charge after some time (especially if they've sat for a long while without a charge). You can get the battery tested at a trusted shop, but it might be more econimical to just replace the batteries with fresh batteries and see if that solves the problem. New batteries will charge much better and hold the charge much longer.

Hello, after winter pause now
Most likely is the battery, if not maintained properly the battery will die if left uncharged for a few months. The Superpower has a controller much like a scooter controller, built into the controller is a low voltage shut off. If the battery is not providing at least 21.5V under load, it will shut down and not move.
Do an ebay search for RBC6 batteries and get 2 12V 12ah batteries, wire them in series to get 24V and use the yellow connector to connect it to your Super Power. You should be able to get them shipped to your door for around $44 vs paying $125 for the Peg original.
Our Super Gaucho 24volts is
Unfortunately the batteries just lose their holding power after awhile, and if you don't keep them charged every few months (like during winter if your child isn't riding, you still need to charge / refresh the battery every 2 months or so, if it isn't charged for a few months, it'll lose some of it's holding power), that's a very common problem. Our 24V Perego batteries for our Gaucho only seem to last like 30 minutes of constant riding (my son rides non stop sometimes for 30+ minutes). If you check out the site modifiedpowerwheels.com , people convert them to use non Perego batteries that run for much longer!
