If your Wii Fit Balance Board is on carpet, be sure to use the extra foot pads that came with your board. If your carpet is really thick, you may need to use a flat woodend board to set the balance board on.

Finally, make sure that you are NOT using your child's Miii to do your own balance test. Each user of Wii Fit must use their own Mii character.

However, if the board becomes unresponsive or is not properly synced, you will not be able to use it to play games. Troubleshooting a Wii Balance Board can help you identify and fix these issues.

Replace the batteries in your Wii Balance Board. This is the leading cause of malfunction. Low batteries can cause your board to lose its connection with your Nintendo or become uncalibrated.


Insert a Wii Balance Board compatible game into the Nintendo Wii and start the game using the Wii Remote.


Open the SD slot cover on the front of the Nintendo Wii.


Remove the battery cover located on the underside of your Wii Balance Board.


Press the red button inside the battery cover of the Wii Balance Board. Release the button once the blue lights begin flashing.


Press the red button on the Nintendo Wii and release it. Ensure that the blue light is still flashing on the Wii Balance Board.

Tips & Warnings


When playing a Wii Balance Board game, the calibration may be thrown off if you switch players in the middle of a game. Quit the game and restart if two players of different weights are switching off.


Avoid using the Wii Balance Board on plush carpets. Place the Wii Balance Board on a hard flat surface or use the foot extenders to ensure that nothing is pushing on the bottom of the board.

You need to sync the balance board with the Wii. It's easy to do and takes 10 seconds.

1) Start Wii Fit.
2) When it asks you to push the power button as you're describing, open the SD card slot on the front of the Wii and observe the red button.


3) Now, flip over the balance board. Remove the battery cover on the bottom of it, and press the red button beside the batteries, and the blue light should start to blink.


4) While the blue light on the balance board is still blinking, quickly press the red button on the Wii. If they are both blinking at the same time, they should be syncing to each other.

5) Your Wii Fit Balance Board should now be synced with your Wii! If it has been synced successfully, you will no longer need to sync it, and should now automatically connect when the button is pressed with your foot.

The only way that I know how change your BMI goal is to wait until your goal time is over and change it when the balance board guy says that you can create a new goal.

The only known way to change your weight loss goal before your deadline is this:


If the game notices you are not keeping a good pace for a while, it'll ask you if you want to reset your goal. Select "Yes" and set your new goal.


Otherwise, you'll just have to wait until your due date

Stop pedaling, hold the B button until it asks if you want to quit and save your fit credits, and then select "Yes". If you do this your credits should be saved.

all you do is push the button about 10 times. if that dosn't work exchange it for another one that does work!

Call customer support and they will give you a master key.

You need to press the red sync button located inside the battery panel with the power on. Then turn board over and let it connect to the console.

Unfortunately, the balance boards are prone to failure. Your choices are to contact Nintendo about repairs (they tend to charge a small fortune) or buy a new one. Repairing this yourself would be difficult because the parts are not easy to get a hold of unless you are a repair shop.

Reset it to factory settings

click on wii button then click on wii settings then click on the right arrow head and go to internet choose search for wireless access point find your network and enter your password click ok to test connection it may ask if you want to update up to you if you do or not. you should now be on the internet

If the screen froze you are going to have to reset your console. Unfortunately your progress after your last save will be lost.

If the damage isn't too great try to scrape some of the corrosion off of the battery connectors. Make it so that they can cleanly touch the batteries again. Tapping it should loosen the corrosion as well.

You have to jog with the Wii remote either in your hand OR in your pocket for your Mii avatar to jog with you.

your fuse went bad replace fuse.

I found all of the flags on my fourth or fifth try. It still took 48 minutes so do not get discouraged. There is one behind the light house.
I had most trouble with the one at the ruins. You have to turn off the main road on the back side of the island to get to the flag. You go up a grassy hill about half way around the back of the island.
Keep in mind that the tunnels in the volcano are like a 3D maze.... to save time and distance, sometimes it is good to ride off a cliff or into the water as this is an instant short cut to the last flag found. The blue ramps are the best way back and forth across the river... good luck
