Canon 1100d says card is locked
Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Auto flash does not pop up on Canon7D
This usually means the camera thinks there is something connected to the hot shoe, but there is nothing connected to the hot shoe. Likely one of the micro switches under the rails of the hot shoe is stuck, or you need to tighten the hot shoe. Here is a nice guide to fix this:

Auto flash does not pop up on 7D
Does the flash fire? If it fires when closed then it is a mechanical issue with the release mechanism. Probably got something jamming the release. Unfortunately this requires opening the camera. Best to consult your nearest canon dealer if your not confident enough to try yourself.

I can't view or upload the pictures I have taken
Check to see whether you are saving them to an unusual location on the CF card. If you are finding the image files from the card but just cannot open them, you may have taken the pictures as "raw" format images. If they are in "raw" format, you may need special software to open them on the computer.

My Canon EOS 1000D does not respond at all.
Main circuit failure. A common problem with the model. The talk in the repair industry is that Canon got hold of bad flash memory chips. Replace main circuit and iniialize with solftware. Can only be done by Canon or a independent shop with SPT repair software.

Sounds as if there is a fleck of dirt on the rear lens element. While in the house (to minimize dust and dirt) remove the lens and look at the rear of the lens see if there is dirt there. If so clean it gently with a soft lens cloth not a facial tissue. Reinstall the lens, if the dirt is still in the same spot return the camera because I suspect the dirt is on the sensor and will need to be cleaned.

Red eye reduction
Reset the camera menu to factory defaults and set all custom functions back to 0. If it still continues, then it is probably a sign of an electronic problem with the circuit and it should be sent to Canon. The XS model is notorious for main circuit problems. Replacing the main circuit requires programming and only Canon has the software
