I got a dell optiplex
I recently worked with a couple of used Dell desktops that someone got from work. Sound familiar? I couldn't get them to come on because the plastic bracket that holds down the CPU heatsink was broken. The heatsink was also covered with a carpet of dust. The new owner could've bought a new heatsink/bracket online, but they declined to spend money. Open it up, make sure everything is in order to diagnose the problem.

If is possible we need to establish if the monitor is defective or not. Please connect to a different monitor/LCD TVscreen or just unplug the monitors data cable from the back of the computer powered it up and check if is giving you a message on the screen as "No signal detected". It will tell you that the monitor is fine and is a problem with your Dell computer.
What is the memory module
Dell Optiplex 755 supports a maximum of 8GB of memory. Memory modules should be installed in pairs of matched memory size, speed, and technology. If the memory modules are not installed
in matched pairs, the computer will continue to operate, but with a slight reduction in performance.
DDR2 Synch DRAM Non-ECC Memory 667MHz or 800MHz speeds are supported.

Hi,
Don't worry. I hope the issue with your browser will be fixed if you reset your Internet settings.
To reset, type in inetcpl.cpl on the RUN command and select the last tab "Advanced" and click on the "reset" button which is on the bottom. Please note that it will remove the saved passwords on your browsers. Hence, I suggest you to take a back up and create a system restore point.

If you are getting a blinking amber light this is normally related to a power problem. So the first thing I would try resetting the flee power. You do this by unplugging the AC power and holding the power button in for 30 to 45 seconds. After you do this plug back in the AC power to see if the system will boot. If it will not the next thing I would look for is the diag lights to see if any are lite up. They are normally near the front USB unless you have a small form factor case then they are on the back. Then will point to a hard ware problem if any. If they are not lite up then most likely the problem is with the powersupply.
Note if you are still in warranty I would pass this info over to Dell and they should be able to get your system fixed.
Let me know if you have any more problems or questions.

When compuetr starts no boot device available but
If there is no HDD or any other boot device the BIOS will always be present. This problem occurs if you haven't installed any Operating System on the HDD. So when the computer is booting it finds no booting device files and that's why showing error message. Format your HDD and install OS to boot smoothly. But if you have HDD with OS still this error happening then it might be a reason of corrupt system files which are required during booting or it may be the case that your HDD is damaged and cannot boot from there. If your HDD is damaged and still showing on the BIOS it may happen because it is detecting as a device but the as the device is damaged is cannot boot from it. Check these steps to solve your issue.
