It sounds like you have to reset your margins,the beep is telling you that it is at the end of the line.To check this press enter(next line) and see if the typewriter goes to the next line if it does that is your problem

There is probably a label or other debris on the paper tray. Open the cover, on the L. end of the platen you will find a latch, press it down, lift the platen up and slide it to the left, now you will be able to remove debris.
