Coleman Powermate Proforce 6,000 Watt 12 Hp Portable Generator #PM0106000 Questions & Answers
I have a proforce 2500 watt generator and it cuts
Low oil doesn't usually make engines cut out. Clean the air filter, change the plug and wire. If this doesn't help then I think you're looking at a carb. problem. Probably just clogged jets & ports. It's very common on small engine carbs. It shouldn't take more than 2 quarts of oil. Probably not even one.

Looking at purchasing a 6000W
Coleman shut down it's generator line--no longer manufacturing generators. Look at Honda for durability or Generac for a good price.

Coleman Powermate 6750
You will need to check the resisitance of the stator and rotor windings, and also each rotor/ring to ground (IE rotor shaft) All tests to ground should be 0 M ohms, stators vary but typically around 1ohm or so, and rotors approx 20-30ohms

How to adjust a fuel governor for a 3750 watt
With parts list in hand, look at reference #21 governor arm and reference 89/90 adjustment screw. This adjustment will increase decrease engine speed. I would use a meter with hz setting to set engine speed to achieve 60 cycles. Sixty cycles on the meter would indicate that the engine is turning 3600 rpm which is max. If all working correctly, voltage should be around 120v at 3600 rpm and 60 cycles. Good luck

Not getting spark. Skocks when
Please check and see if the OIL LEVEL is good . If so check if the OIL IS CLOGGED. A low oil pressure which can trip the oil presure switch to cut OFF ignition is a possible fault.
So check the pressure switch , even it this is short the Ignition will cut off.
You can remove the connection to the pressure switch and start , it this works , change oil and if the problem persists , change the pressure switch.
Tracing the spark can be done. Check the voltage at the HT coil when the engine is cranked. If absent check the alternator/battery. If present then check on the HT TRIGGERS from the ignition switching circuit. Finally remove plug and check spark before you fix the plug back to the cylinder. You can flush out the overflow fuel before the plug is replaced once the spark is confirmed.

I have a coleman 6000.
Make sure the governor is working properly. When you put a load on it the engine should increase in speed slightly. Make sure the engine is running at the correct speed 3600 rpm. Try plugging in an item that draws less power such as a electric drill and see how the generator behaves. Also make sure the engine runs smooth while not under any load. Check the voltage from the outlet to make sure it is putting out 132 volts not under load.
