CA question
Check the battery. You may need to replace it. What does the manual say?
I have replaced the batteries in my Homedics SC-531 body fat scale, but it will not turn on. Any suggestions?
If you have already tried replacing the batteries in your Homedics SC-531 body fat scale and are still unsuccessful, try the following:
Voltage of the battery:
Verify that the batteries are inserted correctly with respect to polarity. When you put the batteries in the compartment, make sure the marks on the inside match up with the positive and negative ends.
Battery Reliability:
Use new, high-quality batteries exclusively. It is possible for batteries to be low on charge or have a problem, even if they are brand new.
Contacts for batteries:
Be sure there is no debris or rust on the battery contacts located inside the battery compartment. Use rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab to clean the contacts if corrosion is visible.
How to Reset:
On the scale, you should see a button or other option to reset it. You can restart the system by pressing a little reset button that is located on some scales. For instructions on how to find and utilize this feature, consult the handbook that came with your particular model.
Hold on a second.
Do not attempt to power on the scale until one minute has passed after you have replaced the batteries. It may take a bit for some electronic gadgets to reset.
Make sure nothing else is wrong.
Check the scale for obvious signs of wear and tear, such as loose pieces or cracked surfaces. Get in touch with the manufacturer's customer service department if you run into any problems.
Instruction Guide:
See the instructions that come with the scale for further information. It might provide advice on how to fix common power problems or detailed directions for fixing specific problems.
Get in touch with CS:
Get in touch with Homedics's support staff if the troubleshooting instructions don't solve the issue. Depending on the problem you're experiencing, they might be able to provide you with more precise advice or suggestions.
Always refer to the user manual for specific instructions on how to disassemble the scale before handling it, and be sure to follow any manufacturer-provided safety warnings. Contacting customer service is crucial if the scale is still within the warranty period.
The electric cord on my hand held percussion HoMedic Masager is loose. How can I open it and fix it?
What is the model of your HoMedic Massager?
If it has a rubber grip on the handle, you can take it off by simply sliding it towards the power cord, with effort and a little patience.
Once the rubber grips are off, you will find 1 screw hidden under the grip, 1 screw near the power cord, and 5 screws on the head, take all the screws off.
Once you've unscrewed all of the screws, unscrew the 2 vibrating heads then take the unit apart.
Good luck.
