Motor brushes spark like crazy!

If you already replaced the brushes you could have a couple problems, the least is the armature commutator needs cleaned and the more expensive is that it needs replaced. This is a problem unless you want to tackle taking the motor partially apart. Let me know what route you want to take either a repair center or looking at the commutator.

My Bosch table saw 4000 run slow and backward and make a noise like buzzing strong, someone has an idea what could be? if i have to change some parts of the motor an which ones??

Hi, try and change the Carbon Brushes , these are located either side of the motor, you will see a black plastic nut or screw, remove this and you will see a wire inside a spring this will push it's self out and then you can gently pull the Carbon brush out this is about 1/4--1/2 " long ...! if not then replace with new. PS. REMEMBER TO DISCONECT FROM MAINS SUPPLY FIRST....T.C.

Motor will not run. When you flip the switch all

My guess is that the motor is bad. Have you changed the brushes? Or if it is a brushless motor that you may need a new motor.

My Bosch 4000 blade will not go down any farther

First of all, love the saw. As good as portables can be, the 4000 is really great.

Now, just remedied the blade height adjustment problem, here is how:

Unplug saw.

Removed blade....not easy when you cannot raise the blade, flip the saw upside down and remove the plastic shield, turn saw upright and remove blade.

Used my compressor with blower attachment and blasted all of the dust out of the gears and screw rods with saw upright and upside down, bevel saw to 45 degrees to gain more access..

Sprayed quite liberally with silicone spray lube and gently worked blade height adjustment, adding more lube, cranking wheel, more lube....blade adjustment now works like the day I bought the saw.

DO NOT USE WD40 or the like. This will just attract more dirt in a very short amount of time.

We'll see how the silicone spray holds up.

Good luck,
RjW

Bosch 4000 tablesaw won't start. Brushes replaced

I found that the remaining problem was a intermittent at the switch, which disassembly and cleaning resolved.
Tilting the motor / blade assembly down allows access from below, to the 3 screws fastening the controller circuit board cover on the brush end of the motor. From there, one can easily test exposed wires for power supply, see that brushes are contacting and clean accumulated sawdust.

Blade won't go up and down

Make sure the lockring on the adjustment handle is pulled out. If so, than you've got to clean the adjuster rod and lubricate it.

Installed new brushes but does not come on is

no. do you have a volt ohms meter to check continuity, if so unplug tool and start with the cord to the brush holders, if you get nothing backtrack to the switch. Let me know what the brand and model number is and I will try and help firther. Why did you replace the brushes? were they burnt or the spring collapsed? If so the commutator might need cleaned, but that comes later Let me know

Bosch 4000 tablesaw suddenly ran backwards and died

I had a customer bring me a saw with this same problem. All components tested OK on my growler. I went on a limb since the speed control and the armature tested OK. I replaced the feild since to me it seemed to be the only component that could cause the motor to run in reverse. Tool now works properly and have had no more problems with the tool.

My tablesaw wont speed up and run. Bosch 4000 ten inch. It makes a klunk and starts to turn and slowly speeds up until its running, but still makes a knocking sound

Is it spinning the blade at all? If it is then it is unlikely to be an electrical fault. Have you considered a motor bearing fault? If the motor bearings are worn, it could turn freely by hand, but when powered up it would stutter and stall. The motor is basically a big electro-magnet so if the armature has enough lateral movement, when it is magnetized it could rub against the stator.
If the machine is buzzing, but not spinning the blade it is more than likely going to be caused by a faulty capacitor as this is the component that gives the motor the initial 'kick' in the right direction to get it spinning.

Raising the blade on my bosch table saw GTS 10 XC is extremely difficult, and lowering it is not much easier. It is very very stiff, and seems to go up and down in "clunks" rather than smoothly

This sounds like the Hand crank mechanism could be the problem. If it is going down in steps the gearing on the height adjuster could be slipping and 'jumping' teeth. When was the last time you gave the table saw really deep clean? Sometimes dirty and sawdust can get inside this machine. Sawdust can soak up oil and lightweight grease drying out areas that need the oil. Give it a really good clean and see if there is access to add a small amount of oil to the moving table lift parts.

The lockjaw on my bosch rs20 reciprocating saw is jammed "open". how can i fix it?

Hi, Please rotate your locking collar clockwise in order to reverse the jam. Please review page 9 of your manual in part 1 of "installing the blade". You can also reference figure 3 on that page. Thank you.

Bosch 1587vs blade won't tighten when installing

It sounds like you are having difficulty tightening the blade on your Bosch 1587vs jigsaw. To resolve this issue, first unplug the tool and lift up on the knob and loosen the spindle lock. Then insert the blade and push up slightly while doing so and twist to align the blade with the roller. Make sure to turn past resistance until it clicks. If the issue persists, you may need to replace the "clic" assembly, part #2-602-025-901.

Lower blade guard alternatives?

Hi, It sounds like you've called all 3rd party locations. Please call Bosch directly and request the part. And if they don't have it in the U.S. then you can request the phone number for their international locations. The U.S. phone number is 1-800-944-2904. Otherwise, I would search on ebay and alibaba to find the part that you've mentioned. Thank you.
