Briggs & Stratton Power Products 1539 Pressure Washer Questions & Answers
It seems that the solution to the stuck choke is to take the power washer to a repair service. This did not help.
Stuck choke? Like the carburetor's choke butterfly valve? There are bushings that can be replaced in the shaft. The valve plate slides out gently with needle-nosed pliars in a top to bottom motion pulling the top loose then rocking the bottom out. The butterfly plate will only go back one way so you're kinda safe there. It's in it's correct position when the valve closes off the intake throat snugly and FREELY. You can put your opened needle-nose jaws in the breather holes of the plate and slowly twist as you move the shaft in a "choke-on" "choke-off" position repetitiously until the butterfly seats in the throat with NO HANG-UP'S. It should move very freely. Once you had the butterfly out, the choke shaft will lift out of the carb. There are bushings that seat down in the top of the carb that the shaft slides thru. If the bushings are worn so that dirt is able to enter and interfere with it's air/fuel mixture. There's also a sponge washer and possibly a spring. I'd take a pic of it before removal for reference. Not sure if that helped.

How do I winterize Gas high pressure washer.
Pump will freeze in cold weather from water left in sump. Get it running and instead of hooking it up to a water hose, use a short length to take a gallon of so of antifreeze.

Power washer won't start
Have you checked for spark? You can remove the plug, touch it against the block and crank it and see if you have any spark (best done in as dark a place as possible). If you don't have spark, start by replacing the plug.
If you have spark, you can spray some starter fluid or gas into the cylinder, replace the plug and try to start it. If it runs for a few second, then you have fuel flow problem (dirty carb or filter, etc.).
Hope these basic tips get you going in the right direction.

My Generac pressure washer will work great for as
Sounds like the unloader valve built-in to your system is sticky. Try lowering the pressure of the regulator to lowest setting then re-adjusting. This will place a different pressure /load on the valve. Also when you store your unit, displace the water in the pump with oil so that lubricant will prevent the unloader from sticking. If you continue to have problem, replace the unloader. Good luck

Model # 580752400. Just
Carburetor needs to be cleaned. It sounds like a clogged/gummed high speed jet that's not providing enough gas for the load demand.

Power washer starts, water to washer on but no
this with the engine running? If so there eigther is a restriction in the main water feed or the pump is damaged or possibly needs to be rebuilt. Did you know you can never start the mechine with the water hooked up and on full and you should trigger the gun to force the air from the water pump before you ever start the engine. Is it a mi-t-m pump or a cat pump. The mi-t-m pumps have a problem with the plastic cages that hold the valves braking and getting stuck between the valve and the valve seat if you take the caps off the pump you can pull the peice out and the mechine will work again. The cat pumps have cremic pistion and if over heater need to be rebuilt but is a vastly better pump and if maintained wil last 25 to 30 years under heavy use

I have a Generac power
I hope you did have it connected to a water line. I'm also assuming the pressure washer function is working ok. Some times the sypon tubing gets clogged from cleaners drying up and building up in tubing and passageway. Does your gun have a cleaning on/off function sometimes by twisting handle? If you have an extra hose, try forcing some water in the tubing while trying to apply solution. If all else fails, clean all solution passageways.

When I release the tigger the pressure washer
When the trigger is pushed, the engine is supposed to rev up to increase the pressure. So from the description, is sounds like the idle speed is simply set to low and it dies. So just set the idle speed higher. You could set it as high as pulling the trigger does if you want, but that would waste gas.
