RUNS SLOW AND THEN STOPS LET IT COOL AND IT WILL

I had the same problem witha similar 2 stroke blower
& it turned out to be caused by a blocked up exhaust port.
Remove the muffler & check both the port & the muffler for carbon blockages.
Before you re-fit the muffler use a torch & look up the exhaust port to see if the piston & rings look ok(not scored)
Hope this helps

Troy Built Pony- will move in reverse but not forward.

There could be several reasons why a Troy Built Pony lawn tractor will move in reverse but not forward. One possible reason is a faulty transmission. The transmission is responsible for transferring power from the engine to the wheels, and if it is not functioning properly, the tractor may not move forward. Another possible reason is a broken or worn out drive belt. The drive belt connects the engine to the transmission and if it is damaged, the tractor may not move forward. Additionally, a damaged or worn out pulley can also cause the tractor to move in reverse but not forward. To diagnose the issue, it is recommended to check the transmission fluid level and condition, inspect the drive belt for any damage or wear, and examine the pulleys for any signs of damage or wear. If any of these components are found to be faulty, they should be replaced immediately. In conclusion, if a Troy Built Pony lawn tractor is moving in reverse but not forward, it could be due to a faulty transmission, a broken or worn out drive belt, or a damaged or worn out pulley. It is recommended to inspect these components and replace them as necessary.

I am install 20 amp fuse and it still blows

Sounds like you have a direct short somewhere. Closely examine your wiring harness for bare wires and pay attention to anywhere wiring is running on or through hot or sharp areas. Does the fuse blow as soon as you plug it in, or only when you turn the key?

hi. this is what i found on the net not sure if this will help you out. Add approximately 5/8-quart of SAE-30 oil the first time you add oil. Use 5W-30 or 10W-30 oil if you are using the tiller when the temperature is below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. My troy built pony will not stay goning

If your Troy-Bilt Pony riding lawn mower is having trouble staying running, there are a few things you can check:
  1. Fuel: Make sure the fuel tank is full and that there is fresh, clean gasoline in the tank. If the gasoline is old or contaminated, it can cause the engine to stall or run poorly.
  2. Air filter: Check the air filter and clean or replace it if it is dirty or clogged. A dirty air filter can restrict air flow to the engine, causing it to run poorly or stall.
  3. Spark plug: Inspect the spark plug and replace it if it is worn or fouled. A worn or fouled spark plug can cause the engine to run poorly or not start at all.
  4. Carburetor: Check the carburetor and clean it if it is dirty or clogged. A dirty or clogged carburetor can prevent the engine from getting the proper fuel and air mixture, causing it to stall or run poorly.
  5. Fuel lines: Check the fuel lines and make sure they are clear and free of debris. A clogged fuel line can prevent the engine from getting the proper fuel, causing it to stall or run poorly.
If none of these solutions work, it may be best to take your mower to a professional for further diagnosis and repair.

My Troy Bilt TB146 EC (2010) Starts fine but dies if I'm not engaging the tines. Could it be a fouled carburetor?

It is possible that a fouled carburetor could be causing the engine to stall when not engaging the tines on your Troy Bilt TB146 EC tiller. A fouled carburetor can cause a variety of issues, including difficulty starting the engine, poor performance, and stalling. To confirm if the carburetor is the issue, you can try cleaning it. First, turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. Then, remove the air filter cover and air filter. Next, locate the carburetor and remove it from the engine. You can clean the carburetor using carburetor cleaner and a small brush or toothbrush. Pay special attention to the small ports and jets inside the carburetor. If cleaning the carburetor does not solve the issue, other potential causes for the engine stalling could include a dirty air filter, clogged fuel filter, or a faulty spark plug. It may also be a good idea to check the throttle cable and governor linkage to make sure they are properly adjusted. If you are not comfortable working on small engines, it may be best to take the tiller to a professional for diagnosis and repair.

How to fix brake stuck in down position on Troy Bilt riding mower?

If the brake on your Troy Bilt riding mower is stuck in the down position, here are a few things you can try to fix the problem:
  1. Check the brake pedal and make sure that it is not jammed or stuck. If it is, try to free it by gently pushing and pulling the pedal.
  2. Check the brake cable for any signs of wear or damage. If the cable is frayed or broken, it will need to be replaced.
  3. Check the brake lever and make sure that it is properly adjusted. If the brake lever is too tight, it may be preventing the brake pedal from releasing.
  4. Inspect the brake mechanism, if you see any signs of wear or damage, it may need to be replaced.
  5. Make sure that the brake linkages are properly lubricated, if they are dry and rusty, they may be stuck.
  6. If none of the above solutions work, it is recommended to contact a professional mechanic or the manufacturer's customer service for further assistance.
