Milwawkee sawzall rotated shaft

If this is an older sawzall there is a bushing in the back plate that aligns the spindle. There is a service fixture for proper alignment. If this is a newer one you have a problem also in the gearcase that would need to be looked at. You can go to milwaukeetool.com and with your model number and serial number download a schematic for this tool . Let me know if you need more assistance and if you do I would need the model and serial number also.

Plugged electric sawzhall in, no power. checked

I would say its either in your cord(an open wire from wear) or the switch on the sawsall.
Try plugging it in and hold in the switch (dont have a blade in) move the cord around in different places to try to get it to work if thats not it and your brushes are ok its probably the switch. I ve replace bad switches in sawsalls before from wear. You can either go to your local electrical supply store that sells milwaukee and order one or I ve purchase them at Grainger parts too.

Cannot get blade to release

Will the collar on the Quik Lok Turn and if so how much? What you can do is spray some WD-40 on the mechanism to free up the collar, sometimes it gets gummed up from cutting. It should open and close with a snap, hope this helps

Milwaukee Sawsal Broken blade

Spay inside where blade fits in with PB BLASTER & let set a while. Maybe you will get lucky & the blade will fall out as it should. If not then it will have to be dissembled in this area. There are 2 BB's inside that fit into the small hole on the blade. They are forced in by a spring, be careful not to lose these. Also check the accuatator when you pull the finger release, make sure it is going all the way or it is not broken, Good luck.

6520 chuck problem

Hi, I'm not too struck on using WD40! It cleans down to bare metal and usually adds to the prob. Blow it out with compressed air, moving the chuck back and forth, then add a few drops of 3in1 oil. Try this first before opening a can of worms! LOL Frankster016

I have an 18v Milwaukee bandsaw (model #2629-20) and the blade is constantly slipping off the wheels. I'm thinking it's an easy fix but not sure exactly what is causing the problem. Please hel

Possible causes:- Tires: If the tire(s) on the front or rear pulleys are worn, torn or have chuncks out of them, the blade can slip off.- Pulley(s) out of line: If either or both pulleys are out of alignment the blade will work it's way off. This could be caused by a worn pulley hub; a worn or broken pulley axel; or worn, broken or frozen bearings where the axels turn. On the drive pulley this could include the bearings on the drive shaft or the boss where the bearings fit into.- Blade: If there are any kinks or slight bends in the metal they could cause the blade to work off the pulley.

could be a couple things, unplug tool and look at the pins on both the cord and the pin housing to make sure none pushed back, next remove handle half and remote electronic and look for a loose flag terminal at the brush holder, look for loose wires on the switch, (give a gentle tug) and remove the brushes and look for unusual wear patterns and possibly a burnt brush spring. Let me know if you need more help.

How do I remove a sawzall blade in a ten amp Milwaukee that's flush at the keyless chuck?

Take the clamp apart by removing the spiral ring that holds the collar on and then remove the pin. Make sure you write down how to put it back together! Once you remove the pin everything else will come off easily! diagram the whole thing as you go!
