Motor runs what seems like slow and when you pull handle to start it rips it out of my hand
Make sure that the oil level is not too high. If the blade hit something, it will change the engine timing, which will cause the handle to pull like that. To check to see if the shaft is bent, UNPLUG the spark plug wire!!! Turn the mower on it's side (KEEP the carb side up!)Pull the rope and have a helper watch the shaft. If it's bent, buy a new engine, It will cast about $120-$180 to rebuild the old engine.
The pull cord on my
Yeah I got the same problem. My pull cord broke in the first season. On my own once the plastic cover is removed, 4 phillips screws, the cord housing is secured by 3 10mm nuts. Remove them and lift out the housing. On my own unit the spring had also slipped out of the mount on the shaft securing the assembly (another 10mm socket nut will loosen that). I used a Briggs and Stratton cord from another (truly dead) mower and have had no problems since then. I am not sure why folks are giving you spark plug settings when you are asking about the cord. :)
How to clean the carberator?
Contact MTD if your manual doesn't cover this, or buy a shop manual, or go to the engine maker's website and look it up.

Engine does not start when warm
here is a problem... No service center to fix this box store lawn mower... If it is brand new I would take it back and get a new one because I would be willing to guess you have either a valve adjustment issue or a bad ignition coil which shouldn't be an issue with a brand new mower.

It sounds like the govenor is not working, this can be due to either the the linkages have become loose/ broken or come adrift. or the internal centrifugal govenor ( if fitted ) has become damaged, check the side of the engine to see if the external govenor arm tries to pull the arm connected to the carb closed, if it dose not move as the engine revs, then it is an issue with the internal govenor, this will mean stripping the engine to acsess this, if the engine has an external vane govenot, check this for blockage by grass and debris.Do not let the engine over rev or it will seize or throw a con rod through the side of the engine.
