When the Craftsman Weedwacker starts in idle and then stalls and the primer bulb will not fill with gasoline or will not pop back after being pushed in, then you have a blockage within the carburetor. The bulb is intended to **** fuel into the supply line, to prime it. To solve the problem, remove the carburetor, open the side that has ONE screw holding it (not the side with four small screws), remove all the two lines remembering how they were attached (the feeder line from the fuel tank attaches to the straight copper tube and the tube going to the bulb intake side attaches to the bent copper tube) and blow out the material blocking the fuel flow inside the carburetor. Then after replacing the carburetor, press the bulb and it should **** and discharge fuel easly. I have had two of these and the fuel path within the carburetor clogs easly. Jim Hart

Sounds like bad seals buy some stop leak and add to your oil and see if that helps

fit a diaphragm kit in the carby the pump diaphragm is the first to fail and then the float diaphragm distorts and will not let in enough fuel to keep it running

My Yard Works was set at the factory to run with the choke partially on. They said it has something to do with the air pressure where we live. Otherwise if it has to have the choke on full then there should be a screw to set it so it will run with the proper setting

If it is like other trimmers there is a hole on the top side of the head put a small screwdriver in that hole it will stop the head from turning unscrew the head counterclock wise.

Sounds like the carb is getting clogged. Drain the old fuel and make sure the fuel filter is attached to the fuel hose inside the fuel tank. SeaFoam or a product called Start will sometimes clean the carburetor. If not, you will need to have the carb rebuilt, flushed or replaced. Also, check your muffler and spark arrest, sometimes if they are clogged, you will have a similar issue.

You probably have a bad hose or a bad hose connection that is sucking mostly air instead of delivering full fuel to the carburetor!

For two stroke engines of this capacity the ratio of fuel to two stroke oil is (25:1) 25 fuel to 1 (two stroke) oil. Eg 200 ml of two stroke oil to 5 litres of fuel.

The smaller diameter line (fuel supply) goes from the fuel tank (w/filter) to the carb body. Another larger line (purge line) goes from carb body to the right nipple on the primer bulb. Another large line (return line) goes from the left nipple of the primer bulb into the fuel tank. co0mpleting the purge circuit. This info pertains to my 2006 Craftsman 32cc with Zama carb.

In the middle of the drum is usually a small torx screw... I put pull cord rope inside where the plug goes to stop the piston from moving as I'm unscrewing it..
