Bought rapid heater in lowes
You should be abl to find a PVC reducer at Lowes or Home Depot. If they don"t have the exact size they have rubber reducing boots that have strap clamps attached to them. If that doesn't work then look up a place in your area that specializes in repairs for pools and spas, they should be more than willing to sell you what you need.

I installed an inline jacuzzi
Hi,
Two things to check...is there enough flow to trip the flow sensor in the heater...the heater will only work when there is flow sensed going through the line...it needs to be in the line diredtly off of the pump before any tee's...
Also and this may sound stupid, but stranger things have happened...
The heaters are directional and they need to be installed with the flow going the correct direction... have you tried taking it out and reversing it??? The flow may be going the wrong way...

MY JACUZZI DOESN'T SEEM TO
In line heaters will not HEAT the water, they will only maintain the temperature inside the tub within a few degrees. You should not try to install the heater yourself, it would be best to have a plumber come over and give you a quote on how much it would be to install it. A plumber can look at the tub, see if there is a place that the heater can be CUT IN to the pipes, and install it. You likely won't get it to work. The inline heaters are required to be put on a GFCI circuit because they are powered in a wet environment. Unless your tub is not hardwired in to the house, and you actually have a GFCI circuit under the tub. But like I said, these do not heat the tub, they only maintain. And the life of these is not very long if you use soaps and shampoos in the tub while the heater is on. It won't take any time at all for the oils to build up on the elements, rendering it useless.

I have an older Jacuzzi
I have the same problem. I talked to Jacuzzi technical support and they said that they don't sell a product that will retrofit (they make the couplings a custom size to prevent this.) It's really a drag since I really don't want to install a whole new tub just to maintain water temperature. I haven't given up so if you found a solution please post.

sounds like maybe a bad high limit switch. the high limit is set @ 112 degrees by default.
if it is turning your system off before it reaches that temperature then it is bad.

I just installed an Espree
there is not a thermostat on the bathtub heaters. they only maintain what temperature water you start with. they are capable of heating about 2-3 degrees an hour.

Is it possible to install a small on-demand hot
Hello, I not sure if your having a problem with your current in-line heater and can't get to it to repair or replace it but, this is the most effective way of heating your tub water without adding water and I say this assuming that the heater is 220 volt and not 115volt. An on demand electric water heater would cost more money to operate then your current unit. A gas on demand heater would not function properly and would fail to provide the hot water you need. If you install a gas on demand water heater and use it to just fill your tub with hot water then you would save money in the long run and be able to use it for your whole house. Hope this information is helpful. If you have more questions please feel free to ask.
