I have a Miller Sycrowave 350 LX 2003 model. I can weld in any setting dc+/dc- and AC but when i try to use the Tig function the only thing i can melt is the tungsten which balls up as soon as the arc

Your polarity needs to be switched for Tig operation. In other words, the electrode will be negative. Make sure you use the proper gas for Tig, usually Argon.

Have a Miller Dynasty 300 that won't tig weld, displays HELP 12 code. Suggestions??

Some welders have a resistor that is obvious and accessible but to give an error code it is likely something else inside. You'll have to look at the circuit board for a component that is burned. If you are lucky you will find a fuse.

How too set up a tig welder for welding thin

DC current, electrode negative (DC Straight, DC-), High frequency for start only (really don't have to use high freq at all for steel but it helps establish the arc without scratching), 1 amp per thousandth of material thickness is a good setting to start, adjust from there for the job. 1 amp/thousandth also applies to aluminum- it has a lower melting point than steel but conducts heat much better so power to weld is very nearly the same.

Use a sharp tungsten, don't ball it at all (as you would for AC work).

Miller welder 330a/bp it will not weld in D/C

It's likely that your pedal is the problem. Pull the cover and check it electrically - these have been problematic in the past. You can further troubleshoot by selecting constant output and test the output.

Millerbig blue 400 d welder wontstart keep kicking breaker help

1. Make sure a qualified electrician specifically selected and installed your wiring and breaker for this unit.2. Carefully examine all of your power supply connections, wiring, grounding connections (clamps, lugs, and nuts) and cable. 3. Be sure you don't have a steel washer between the grounding lug and the machine power base. 4. You must have a minimum of 4 gauge wiring on your power supply and 2 gauge grounding cable. 5.Take a 3/8" socket and open up the machine and thoroughly examine with a bright flashlight for any electrical burns. 6. If the machine is too dirty to see the components, then disconnect it from the electrical service, lock-out / tag-out the electrical breaker, take the machine outside and wash it down with a hose -- preferably a light duty pressure sprayer and some Simple Green. 7. Let it air dry for 24 hours. Then re-examine.

Why is my arc unstable when I start Tig welding? Sometimes it starts nice and smooth and sometimes it blasts really bright and flashes me.

The tungsten point has to be quite sharp, the gas has to give constant flow relative to the tip size and shroud and the amps adequate to create a spark without immediately making a mess of the parent metal. The two most common issues will be the cleanliness of the parent metal and the Gas flow. Assuming you have all this set up, it actually sounds like you have a problem with your mask as you shouldn't get flashed at all.I had a similar problem once with a solar powered auto mask because the batteries had died and wouldn't recharge. I retro fitted a couple of button cell 2032 to the mask and it's working fine.

Your machine can be plug at different voltages from 220 to 575 V. All you need to do is change the position of the jumper links that are located on the back of the machine near the lead cable connector.

I have a Miller Syncrowave

Do you mean to say that the other 2 should come on, but are not? Perhaps you are welding using lower settings than before, and the machine just isn't heating up as quickly. Is there a point at which the fans do come on? Say thirty minutes into the job instead of ten? Maybe you were afraid to run it too long without the cooling fans on and so stopped prematurely, before the thermostat turned them on? Check fuses and breakers.

Miller 250 dx tig willnot

The inverter or control of it has failed. Unit will require servicing. If you are not electronically adept, this is NOT DIY. Do your best to check the control pedal wiring, especially connectors and the cord near connectors.
