LG WM3431 Front Load Washer / Dryer - Page 3 Questions & Answers
I have a washer/dryer machine.
Possible failure of the program controller unit in your washer. Try to clean the contacts, make sure all the wiring's are tight , clean and reset all the contact pins and leads.
If the fault has reduced repeat the work or else the price of a new controller unit must be checked out before you decide to replace.

Before replacing the fill valve sand or trash may have gotten into the

So find that hose and blow it
out. Remove the standing water and retry.

My washiong machine is an LG washer/dryer its
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. LE' error message indicates the control board has detected that the motor is either not turning, or has locked up for some reason. Monitoring the motor is the job of the Hall Effect sensor board which constantly determines the direction and speed of the motor and feeds that information back to the control board. If there is a problem between what the motor should be doing and what the hall effect sensor says the motor is doing, the 'LE' will be displayed and the cycle will be stopped. The hall sensor is rather easy to replace, and is covered by a seven year part warranty (in US). It only takes around half hour to replace it with a new one. Take the back cover off. Take the big nut off and remove the motor rotor. Remove the bolts holding the motor windings. Remove the electric plug on the sensor and unclip it from the motor winding. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks

I have an LG WM3431HW.
Upon reviewing yo
ur posts and watching the video, I recommend the removal of the motor's rotor in the process of determining the possible source of the noise. The rotor is the one that rotates on the rear of the tub and it is secured to the shaft a single bolt. Remove the bolt then pull the rotor out. Check the rotor and the stator for any sign of contact that results in the noise. Turn the drum manually and if the noise goes out, you are pretty sure the noise is coming from the motor assembly. Otherwise, you have to check the
spinner support, also called spider assembly, for possible damage. It is the three-arm assembly that holds the
basket to the shaft. The spider assembly produces similar clanking sound when damaged.
Can 3431 be converted to a regular vented dryer?
You cannot convert this model. This unit blows hot air into drum and the water is turned to steam and exhausted out through the pump to the drain. Unlike regular dryers that blow hot air into drum, creating link and just heat that blow out vent.
"oe" error message line problem
OE shows when the water level isn't changing quickly enough....SO, there is a drain problem! It could be blocked filter, OR a coin caught in the pump impeller itself....OR the pump motor itself has failed, which does happen occassionally..Detritis gets in behind the impeller seal and means that the pump motor needs to be changed. Universal pump motors can be found which will fit....Good luck....Nomess
Faulty water valve on LG WD-12320rd washer. Code
FE means Fill Error. If you unplug the machine and it still fills, and the only way to stop the filling is to turn off the valves supplying the water to the fill hose(s), then you need to replace a fill valve. It is best to figure out which one by turning one off at a time while the machine is in that FE condition. There is a separate hot and cold valve. (they are the part that the hose screws onto on the machine.)
To replace valve, cover comes off machine by removing two screws at the back of the top. (not the two which go into the top, the ones just below them) Then, standing in front of the machine, use the palms of your hands to give the top a sharp push to the rear to slide the top back about two inches. Then lift the top off.
Washing Machine not draining at all
either the pump is not working, when switched to drain do you hear a noise if not the pump not working if so then likely a blockage check filter, outlet hose and stanpipe
Ratlling sound
Disconnect power to the machine and remove the back cover by removing the screws holding it to the cabinet. Once it is removed, remove the wiring harness from the heater terminals. Loosen the center nut that secures the heater to the bottom of the tub and pull the heater out. You now have access to the bottom of the tub where the foreign material is most likely got caught. If not, turn the drum until the material gets to the bottom of the tub.
Pull the material out and reinsert the heater into the opening all through the heater clip at the bottom inside of the tub. Reconnect the grounding wire to the grounding terminal and tighten the nut to secure the heater. Reconnect the heater wiring harness and reinstall the back cover.
My moffat washer dryer takes too long to dry
Hi there,
Well first of all you can check Vent- Frequently there's an obstruction in the vent duct from the dryer to the outside of the house. For the dryer to heat properly, the duct must be clean and clear of lint or any other substance. then you can check the heating element
Your dryer's heating element may be partially burned out. If it is, your dryer still heats, but at such a low temperature that it takes three or four times as long to dry the clothes. If the element is partially burned out, replace it. Please post comments for more help or information........
Good Luck!!
Thanks
Drain hose
This hose can be removed from the rear by removing the access panel. Look to the left and you will see the drain coming down from the condensate duct. Follow it down to the drain assy. While you have it off, check in the opening for lint build up which can block the drain
My 3431 dryer takes too long to dry and it
You have two issues. The cycle time on this unui in the normal mode is 3+ hours. If it is longer than this you have a clogged condensate/dry duct which needs to be cleaned out by an LG tech. The balance thing is a matter of using a level and getting it perfectly level. Once you have done this, if it still bounces check the feet and adjust the one that is not solid on the floor while the machine is bouncing.
