My WM1832CW front load machine

bad imbalance sensor. silly little contraption that sticks off the back of the drum. It is a plastic lever with a light sensor attached to the end. there is a hole and a bb that sits in the hole. when the load gets imbalanced, the bb gets knocked out of the hole and the light shines through the hole. the light sensor relays the error to the computer and it displays UE. I took the sensor apart, and put a piece of tape over the hole so the light cant shine through anymore. No more UE code. LG parts are very hard to find. I dont mess with them, but it was my neighbors machine. This will get them by until they can buy a new washer. good luck.

Washer has a musty and

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Bad odours could be coming from a couple of places.
  1. the fact that there is 'foul' water being left in the drum or
  2. the plumbing u-bend.
I would suggest checking the plumbing u-bend for trouble first, then following the notes on checking and cleaning the drain filter and the drain pump to ensure there is nothing 'obnoxious' hanging around the two of them!
You could also run the contents of a proprietary washer cleaner/ de-scaler through the system- if only to clean the heater element.
Here are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,

Have an LG washer displaying an OE code what could

An OE error code means that the washer is not draining properly. Pull the filter out at the bottom left corner to make sure that the filter is not plugged with debris. Read your manual before pulling the filter out so you don't flood your room.
Good luck.

HOW CAN I FIX LE ERROR WM1832CW?

I had the same problem as you. You will have to order Part# 6501KW2002A from the Repair Clinic. It's called a Sensor Assembly-Hall (Motor) Sensor. For some strange reason this little part goes bad and keeps your washer from turning. To replace this part, all you do is take off the back panel; it has 4 screws. Once you get the panel off you should see a round cylinder with one big bolt in the back of it. Take the cylinder off and you should see a magnetic circle with at least 6 bolts to it. Take each bolt off and slide off the magnetic stator assy. Be careful because when you take off the connectors you don't want to break in wires to the stator assy. You will see the Hall Sensor. It's a small platic piece that attaches to the Stator Assy. Take it off and replace it with new one. Your done.....

Cannot get the stator cover

Un-screw the bolt at the center of the rotor about half way, then hit the bolt several times with a heavy hammer. Remove the bolt the remainder of the way and remove the rotor.

LG washing machine Error code SE

The SE error code can be caused by a faulty motor or a faulty control board. You have to check the motor if it is running properly. This is probably best left on the hands of a professional since they have to test the connection and the wiring of the motor first.

Found water underneath washer, clothes

Can be due to clogging in the drain pump/valve which is not draining off due to the dirt accumulation. remove and clean- back flush to see if this works.
Also make sure that the level of the washer is tilted to the drain side valve as no water must remain but drain in gravity. use a spirit level to set.

LG wm1460fhd displaying PE what

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

'PE' on LG's decodes as 'sensing water pressure error' (really clear- inlet or outlet?!).
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)

LE error code

LE indicates a fault with the motor on the appliance.

LG suggest you switch off, wait for a minute, unplug the appliance.

Wait 15 minutes then plug it back in again.

Try the machine again.

If it's still faulty, you can try changing the Hall Sensor in the motor, this can sometimes cure the problem.

Unplug the machine and remove the rear cover. There are 4 Philips head screws. Take them out and remove the rear cover.

You should now see the rear of the motor, which is mounted to the back of the drum.

In the middle is a large bolt which holds the stator cover.

You'll need a 17mm socket and a ratchet to remove this bolt.

Remove the stator cover and place aside.

Toward the bottom-left, you will see a couple of wire bunches held to the motor by three screws. One holds a metal bracket, one actually holds a ground wire, and the last is through a plastic bracket toward the bottom. Remove these three screws and don't lose them.

Through the motor there are 6 bolts holding it onto the back of the drum assembly.

You'll need a 10mm socket and ratchet to remove them.

You will now have the motor off the back of the drum.

Disconnect the two wire harnesses from the motor.

Looking at the surface of this motor that was facing the DRUM (not the outside), you'll see two small pieces clipped onto it, toward the bottom.

The sensor you are looking to replace is the one that looks like a kitchen magnet.

It is attached by small clips. You'll see how it goes on. It's easy to remove.

Go to google and search for part number 6501KW2002A.

This will bring up an LG sensor assembly.

Double check with the supplier that this is the sensor for your appliance.

When you receive the sensor, simply reverse steps 1 through 5.

Once re assembled, try the machine again.

If still the same after this you'll need to replace the motor and/or control board.

Is this a new installation?

In new installations, this error can sometimes present because of a miscommunication between the control panel and the wash motor. In this instance, the washer simply needs to be reset.

Step 1: Unplug the washing machine.

Step 2: While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for 5 seconds.

Step 3: Plug the unit back in, and run a rinse and spin cycle to test if the LE code is cleared.

Has a large load size been used with a gentle wash setting?

Gentle wash cycles such as Perm Press, Delicates, Hand Wash, and Wool/Silk should only be used for smaller loads. Because the cycles are more gentle while tumbling and spinning, too many items in the drum can register as an issue with the motor. In this instance reset the unit and run a test rinse and spin cycle.

Has the washer been overloaded?

Single bulky items or large loads can add extra weight to the drum and place stress on the motor. Remove some of the clothing and restart. If the issue is still present after a few items have been removed, unplug the washer for 30 minutes to allow the motor to cool and then restart the cycle.

NOTE: Make sure the drum is not overloaded

Are there soap suds visible in the drum?

Over-sudsing is the main cause of LE error codes. Using non-HE (high efficiency) detergents or too much detergent will cause stress on the motor. In addition, detergent residue can also cause leaking and odor. Follow these steps to resolved an LE error code caused by over-sudsing.

Step 1: Unplug the washer and allow the unit to sit for 30 minutes to give the suds time to dissolve.

Step 2: Plug the washer back in and press [Power] to turn on the washer.

Step 3: Do not choose a washing cycle. Press the [Spin Speed] key until "No Spin" is selected.

Step 4: Press [Start/Pause] to begin a drain only cycle.

Step 5: After the drain only cycle has completed, remove the clothing items from the machine. Turn the power back on and select [Rinse and Spin] and then press [Start/Pause]. This will remove excess soap suds and light residue from the drum. Repeat this step until no visible suds are in the drum of the washer.

When washing and water is running water runs out

If the machine is working alright otherwise , then there is an alignment problem on the door or your seal gasket is worn out. Since this is a mechanical failure it must be inspeccted before we can confirm on the fault. If you find the gasket worn out or the sides cut along, then it needs a replacement. The same type of gasket is available from different sources, try the LG dealer or the appliances hardware shop. If there is any hinge problem on the door remove and adjust. The door must close and seal well. Hope you can sit in front of the door and look carefully to logically confirm and repair. Hope you get this right. Good day

The water will not drain automatically we must use

Hi
If the washer is not draining then it is due to a clogged drain pump or a drain filter or a kinked drain hose. To resolve the issue you'll need to clean the drain hose, inspect if the drain hose is plugged. If the hose is fine, then remove the front kick panel and access the drain pump and filter, if you are unable to find the pump and filter remove the back panel as well and trace the drain hose to the bottom of the tub. There is a drain filter connected with the drain pump. It usually gets clogged, and needs to be cleaned every 6-8 months or so. The drain filter is a small white filter connected to drain pump with a hose. If it still doesn't work then you'll need to check the connections of the drain pump, check the electrical connections with a millimeter. If it still doesn't work then you would need to replace the drain pump. Hope this helps... Please revert for any further assistance.
