Lg wahser wm1832cw flashes oe

Hi,

If you are getting this code it is because your washing machine has tried for at least ten minutes to drain the water out of the machine. The most likely cause of this problem is that you have a plugged pump filter or you have something stuck in the pump filter.Make sure that you unplug your washing machine. To clean out the pump filter you must empty the washing machine water. The best way to do this is to manually drain the water into a low bucket or basin. Then lay a towel down to catch to remaining small amount of water. Remove the pump filter, clean out any debris, and wash out the filter. Then plug your washer back in and restart the washing machine.Check that your machine is properly leveled. A washer that is too far out of level may not drain properly. Make sure that you are level front to back as well as side to side. This solution will solve your problem

Thank You !!

Lg washer tub hitting glass and making sparks

check the drum suspension springs (under the top cover); as sometimes they'll slip out of their holders. this will cause the drum to "drop'' and will no longer align with the door. also, check the lower drum "shocks" (inspect behind rear access panel) for damage too.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. DE is a door open error, you’ll have to check the door if it’s properly closed. Also check loose electrical connections at the door switch and PWB assembly. If everything appears to be fine then it is the door switch assembly that should be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

My washer machine keeps displaying

Error Message : the OE is (outlet error).

1) If OE error occurs, clean & empty the filter.
2) If this doesn't solve the problem, and it won't drain, then provided that you can hear the pump spinning (the normal whirring the machine makes that should be accompanied by the water going down the drain) then the hose pipe leading to the pump is probably blocked.

I'm sure a lot of dodgy service people might just charge you for a new pump & labor, but if you can hear the pump spinning then you just need to remove the blockage.

Good luck!

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. As you already know OE is a Drain Error which indicates that the water was not fully drained within 10 minutes. To start with check the drain pump filter for any clogs/foreign materials and try to clean the filter. Also as you have already checked the drain hose for any blockage then it seems to be the pump that has gone bad. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Drumbearings - is it worth replacing them and

Spin bearing replacement is quite a big job..You may also have to replace the shaft which goes from the pulley to the inner drum.
The easiest way to do the job is to replace the rear drum, but the bearings and seals can be replaced individually...Get quotes for both methods..
Good luck....Nomess

My LG WM1832CW is blinking LE on the readout.

Hi,

LE code stands for locked motor error. When this error code appears in your front load washer it indicates a fault in the motor unit.

1 . Check the connections to the Coil/Stator at the rear of the unit possibly it should be something like a broken wire.

2 . Coil/Stator Assembly will be defective preventing the drive to operate. You should go for a replacement of that assembly.

Thank you !!

Spin cycle noise. no longer sounds smooth

The rear half of the outer wash drum (which contains the rear bearing and tub shaft seal) needs to be replaced. On a 1 - 10 scale, this rates a difficulty rating of about an 8. An experienced appliance tech can do it in about 2 hours, and hit you up for about $500. I do not suggest this as a do it yourself repair. Did you know that the new LG machines use a balance ring to make them much smoother running? (Hint: It may be wiser to replace the machine.)
You can find a service provider, to do the repair or just get parts here:

My washer leaks water

Hi,

The problem is due to the rubber boot is been torn that is causing you the leak. You have to check the rubber boot for leaks by removing the clamp assembly that secures the rubber boot to the outer lip of the door opening. Peel off the rubber boot then inspect it for any holes where it may be leaking. The rubber boot in your washer can be accessed only when you remove the front panel. This requires the removal first of the top panel then the console. Also check your inlet hoses on the outside of machine, also check the connections inside the panel in back.

I neet o replace drain pump on a LG wm1832cw model

its not easy, but you'll have to lay the washer on its back and take off the crate like bottom panel. Discontect all the hoses. Disconnect the electrical line going to the pump. If you can, try and seperate the pump motor from the housing by unscrewing two screws on the housing, which will seperate the motor from the housing, If you cant get to it, I actually broke the screws on the drain filter housing to get it loose. I secured it back with the other front loading screw and some gorilla glue, shouldnt be a problem. I should at least get another 6 years out of this pump. Good luck.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The 'LE' error message indicates the control board has detected that the motor is either not turning, or has locked up for some reason. Monitoring the motor is the job of the Hall Effect sensor board which constantly determines the direction and speed of the motor and feeds that information back to the control board. If there is a problem between what the motor should be doing and what the hall effect sensor says the motor is doing, the 'LE' will be displayed and the cycle will be stopped. To resolve this check the wire harness connecting both of them and replace the part that has gone bad. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Door wil not unlock and will not drain

USe a wet dry shop vac attach it to the end of the drain hose and remove the water, this will allow the door to unlock.
Once all the water is removed then you can check all the hose and connections to the drain pump for any thing that will stop or restrict the flow of water.
If you do not find any blockage you may need to replace the drain pump

Hi,

Thanks for writing to Fixya.com.

This is a common issue and results from a bad sensor assembly (#6501KW2002A). You can order it from an online electronics store (www.mcminone.com). Cost is approx. $20 and by replacing it the issue would get fixed.

Thanks for contacting Fixya and please accept the solution if it has helped you.

Sounds like the inside is a jet plane while in

If the washer is vibrating a lot, then you could have a bad drum bearing. There are also counter weights and shock absorbers that could be bad. The best thing to do is take off the back panel and look inside. many times the problem can be clearly seen. Usually a loud noise like a jet plane on spin cycle means a bad bearing. This can be costly unless you can do the work yourself. The parts are readily available.

IT WILL NOT DRAIN

Hi,

This kind of drain problem arise if the cold water inlet screen is plugged up, preventing rinse water from entering machine. Turn off the cold water to the machine and remove the cold water supply hose. Check the screen inside where the hose came off the machine. Run some water out the hose into the drain or a bucket before reconnecting to machine.
Thank you !!
