I need trouble hsooting manuals for LG home appliances

It is not clear in which city you are residing. It would have been easier to give you the reference of the local LG dealer who could have helped you to get the required booklets. Anway, On the Internet go to the website of LG Pakistan www.lge.com/pk/support-here-to-help.jsp and get in touch with the customer representative. OR Ring up on toll free no 0-800-1-5454 and speak to the customer representative and give your requirement. OR Go to local LG dealer and request him if he can help you to get the manuals/user guides.

LG front load washer coded UE. what does that

UE means unbalanced error. when you see this, it means the clothes are unevenly distributed in washer, it's basically unbalanced.

What does an

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Make sure the error is not IE, which means water has not reached to the pre-set level within 4 min. since ERROR inlet valve operated or water has not reached to the normal level within 25 min.

The 'LE' error message indicates the control board has detected that the motor is either not turning, or has locked up for some reason. Monitoring the motor is the job of the Hall Effect sensor board which constantly determines the direction and speed of the motor and feeds that information back to the control board. If there is a problem between what the motor should be doing and what the hall effect sensor says the motor is doing, the 'LE' will be displayed and the cycle will be stopped.

Motor lock can be caused by several things from a loose connector, to a bad motor, or even the hall effect sensor failing or dislodging from it's mount. Any one or more of these components could have caused this error, but it is possible to separate the working from the non-working, just by following a process.

To make sure its not a locked motor, try turning the drum with your hand. And, if you feel some resistance while turning the drum or the drum doesn’t move freely then the motor is locked and you’ll need to get it replaced.

The hall sensor is rather easy to replace, and is covered by a seven year part warranty (in US). Take the back cover off. Take the big nut off and remove the motor rotor. Remove the bolts holding the motor windings. Remove the electric plug on the sensor and unclip it from the motor winding. Snap new sensor on and reassemble. Usually takes under a half hour.

Also check for ---

  • Check for the Connector (3 pin, male, white) in the Wire Harness, check if it is connected to the Connector (3 pin, female, white) of MOTOR. Reconnect or repair the connector.
  • The electric contact between the connectors¡a3 pin, male, white in the Wire Harness and 6 pin, female, white in the PWB ASSY(Main) is bad or unstable.Reconnect or repair the contact in the connector.
  • The Wire Harness between the MOTOR and PWB ASSY(Main) is cut(open circuited).Repair the damaged (open-circuited) WIRE HARNESS
  • The hall sensor is out of order/defective.Replace the PWB ASSY(Main).

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

How do we winterize our new LG front loader when

Yes, my owners manual says to put one quart of RV Antifreeze in the drum of the tub then run the machine on rinse cycle. Next, shut off water supply and disconnect everything from washer and your done. You may want to get an owners manual online to confirm with your model! Mine is a Kenmore which I believe is same as Whirlpool!

Lost or not retained shipping bolts

Just looked at mine (we had to order them before the military would move ours). They are two different sizes, have a long plastic washer (lengthwise), and are - believe it or not - like a lag bolt on the end! A hybrid mess meant to force us to order them, if you ask me. Not sure you should try rigging it, best if you order them, you'll see what I mean when you get them. Sorry, we were in the same boat too. Wish I never bought this LG, but that's for another post.

I'm getting a code LE on my washer. I saw one

First try unplugging the machine for a few minutes and then retry a cycle. If you still get the LE error:

The Hall sensor (part number 6501KW2001A) has failed. The hall sensor is rather easy to replace, and is covered by a seven year part warranty (in the US). Take the back cover off. Take the big nut off and remove the motor rotor. Remove the bolts holding the motor windings. Remove the electric plug on the sensor and unclip it from the motor winding. Snap new sensor on and reassemble. Usually takes under a half hour. On a difficulty scale of 1 - 10, it might rate a 4. This should be a Fix-Ya for your machine, and at basically no cost!
In the US, find a service provider using your zip code at http://us.lgservice.com/index_b2c.jsp or call LG at 800-243-0000

Ue error during spin mode (b4 spin up happens) empty. wm3677hw

An UE Error Code is indicative of a “Unbalanced Error”. This indicates that the drum is not spinning in a smooth rotation. It may be necessary to rearrange the load in the drum. Also you have mentioned that the drum with full load has no such problem. It means that the drum cannot manage its weight in that position. So the problem might b adjustable easily. Try to remove the top panel and check for any slight movement in the position of the drum. Leaving it continue this way might increase the probability for the error to be repeated with the load. Will add some links related to internal diagrams of this model when i find some that might help you to check the drum inside.

Good luck with the machine. Please do rate my solution and post comments and results.

Washer shaking

first make sure the shipping bolts were removed from the machine, then make sure it is level, then if it still shakes, take your fist and hit it on your head... jk, if you have it on a wood floor, or your floor isnt 100% sturdy, you cant do anything about it besides using anti vibration pads. they wont do that much tho.

Soap dispenser drawer jammed

I would not say that is normal wear and tear, but the fabric softener or bleach dispenser may not have gotten replaced correctly after they were removed. You should rarely have to clean these out (as they are flushed with water on each cycle) Make sure they are installed correctly and you should not have repeat problems. Now, Here's a possible solution to the current jammed dispenser: Remove the two screws on the bottom side of the plastic clips on the back of the washer (leaving the clips attached to the washer's top), then use the palms of your hands to sharply push the top back about an inch and a half and lift the top off the machine. Now, if you can see enough through the translucent plastic to tell where the hang up is, you can drill a small hole in the top of it to allow you to push that part down so the drawer will open. Then, use foil duct tape to seal the hole.

I have a top load

This is a bad motor position sensor. Since the machine cannot tell what position the motor is in it just spins back and forth trying to figure it out. Often an error code will pop up after 15-20 minutes.

A technician should be able to replace this part relatively cheaply. Hope this helps, please rate my solution.

LG front load machine with LE code and no spin

LE is a locked motor error. Not to worry as 95% of the time this is just a bad hall sensor (motor position sensor). It is very easy for a technician to replace and the cost is very small.

Hope this helps, please rate my solution.

LG 2077 CW-has IE code issue as well as soap dispensing problems

IE is an inlet error indicating that the machine has not filled up to the correct water level within 10 minutes. Could be a bad inlet valve, low water pressure or a problem with the inlet hoses (do not use anti flood hoses with these machines, use only the included fill hoses).

It sounds like all of your problems lie with the water fill. If the dispenser compartments do not get water added to them then the soap, bleach, and/or softener will not dispense properly. Then it will still be present and may dispense on the next load instead.

It is also VERY important that you use an HE (high efficiency) detergent and the correct amount (2-3 tablespoons per load). Otherwise you could end up with oversudsing issues which can also keep the bleach from dispensing properly.

Also make sure to not use GEL bleach, GEL detergent or GEL softener as they are too heavy and will not dispense properly. If all of these recommendations do not help then there is a definite issue with the incoming water supply from the inlet valves (especially if the IE errors continue). In that case you will need a technician to check the inlet valves inside the machine.

Hope this helps, please rate my solution.

WM1832CW, wont drain and spin,

This a common problem for all front loaders. Your washer will not drain or work 'cause your outlet filter is clogged or an unusually heavy load. The small door is on the left side front bottom of your washer. Remove the door with a putty knife or thin butter knife inserted in the middle top of the access panel door. Drain the water from the filter housing by pulling the tube out of the clip and unplugging, allow it to run into a bucket while the machine is in spin only mode. This mode is acheived when the washer is first powered on press the spin button until no spin is reached then run. Run in this mode until no water is draining from the tube in the bucket. Keep the tube as low as possible. When water has stopped coming out of the tube turn off the washer and unplug from the wall. This step is important because this resets the fault. Expect some water to come out when you open the filter housing by turning counterclockwise until you can pull the filter from its housing. Clean out your filter, return to housing turning clockwise until seated and recap the tube and place in the holder, refit the cover and plug back into the wall. Fixed. You may also need to lighten the load a bit but I always try full on load anyways. If it fails again just lighten, unplug wait >1 minute then replug and run.

Leak in the front door

If the water is running down the outside at the front of the m/c, then you probably need new door seal.
If however it is coming down the front from the top, then it is coming from your dispenser, check for blockage
