LG WM-2077C Front Load Washer - Page 5 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Should I use powdered or liquid detergent in my front load washer
It depends, I use liquid so the dispenser drawer does not get a build of of soap and cause blockage problems. But if you decide to use power that is fine too, but I recommend that you take the drawer out at least once every fortnight to give it a clean.

LG WM1812CW washer smell
First, clean out the filter behind the access door on the lower left front of the machine. Residue left in the filter can contribute to odor issues. Second, buy a package of AhFresh or Whilaway and run a cycle with that, hot water, longest cycle. (unfortunately you do not have the sanitary cycle or the tub clean cycle on your model) Third, and most importantly, USE LESS DETERGENT. Top load washers use up to 45 gallons of water per cycle. Your machine uses 12. Use one tablespoon of HE detergent and one teaspoon of fabric softener (if you use softener) per cycle. My personal LG washer is now over 5 years old, and have only had an odor issue one time. I leave the door closed after I wash. (the tub is vented) Never have had any mold or mildew issues with my washer. Was doing several loads per day when I had 7 at home, now only doing 3 loads a week with all the kids, their spouses, and grandkid gone. Still no odor problems. Great machines if used properly. Note: the odor / mold / mildew issues are basically the same with any front load machine, regardless of brand, and most can be solved following the above advise. Good luck.

My LG washing machine
hi
The drive belt (or belts) of a washing machine may become worn or damaged, causing noisy operation or stopping the washer entirely. A damaged drive belt is easy to replace. Remove the back panel of the washer to gain access to the belt. To remove the belt:
Step 1: Loosen the bolt on the motor bracket and move the motor to put slack in the belt.
Step 2: Remove the old belt and stretch a new one into place on the pulleys.
Step 3: To put tension on the new belt, use a hammer handle or a short pry bar to push the motor into position while you tighten the bolt in the adjustable bracket. The belt should have about 1/2 inch deflection when you press on it at the center point, midway between the pulleys. If the belt is too loose, it will slip on the pulleys, causing the machine to malfunction. If the belt is too tight, it will wear very quickly and will probably become so hot that it will start to smoke or smell.
Loose pulleys can also cause problems. Most pulleys are fastened to shafts with setscrews around the hub of the pulley. These screws must be tight or else the pulley or belt will slip. The resulting malfunction may seem to be caused by a faulty motor, but it can be corrected by tightening the pulleys and adjusting the belt. For this reason, always check the belts and pulleys before working on the motor.

Clunking noise when water is trying to drain
You may have something inside the drain pump and the pump fins are just knocking the large debris around. You will need to disassemble the drain pump to see what's inside it. This will require a call from a qualified LG technician.

LG WM2016CW front load washer
Check to make sure that the filters in the water valves are not clogged up. Go behind the machine, turn off the water supply and disconnect the hoses on the machine side. Look inside the water valves and check the filter screens to make sure they're clean. Get a large bucket and open the water valve to clear out the hoses and make sure you have good water flow coming out of the hoses. If both of those situations are cleared up, your machine should work properly.

Washing machine drum won't turn under power
is the washing machine went to its usual cycle? put water in?
if you think the motor should have run already, then it could be the motor or the motor inverter.
check the motor leads for equal resistance, if i'm right, you may have a three phase motro so the three leads that comes out should have equal resistance.
also, if you can monitor the voltage present in the motor leads while it is plug in and you are waiting for the motor to run, if there is voltage then there is a problem with the motor, if there is no voltage present, then the inverter unit would be the defective part.

Cleaning rubber seal
Use a 1/2 cup of vinegar and pour it onto the rubber door seal. Let it sit awhile then wipe dry. The stains are very hard to get off once they're on. You can also use baking soda to remove the odors.

Your motor sensor has failed. Try unplugging the unit and wait 5 minutes before plugging it back on. If that fails, you will need a qualified LG technician to help you.

Water gushes out dispenser
Something has gotten into the fill tube hose of the tub. You will need to pull the drawer out and look down in the dispenser assembly to see if there is something blocking the hose.

Drum won't spin freely
Are you sure that there is nothing sticking through the holes in the drum like a nail etc or a screw from trouser pockets, it could be that the heating element has come loose and is scraping against the drum or that the bearings have gone.

LG WM-2077 Water leaks out of the Air Vent on the back
Be sure you are using HE detergent and only about 1 Tablespoon for a load. You are ending up with too many bubbles in the machine and when it goes to spin the bubbles come out the air vent. There is a valve that closes during spin but bubbles are not strong enough to lift the valve it has to be water hitting it before it closes.

Try leveling the machine, get a simple bullet level and place it on the top center and level side to side then place the level on any side and level front to back.

My washer shows UE code
UE code is an "unbalance error". Believe it or not, it is possible to unbalance a front load style washing machine. Usually caused by trying to wash smaller loads where the drum spins to try to distribute the weight evenly. With less laundry, you cannot distribute enough weight evenly around the drum and sometimes will cause an unbalanced load. If your problem is not a simple loading issue, it could be the balance sensor, loose wiring, or possibly the main control board. I hope this helps.

LG Fuzzy Logic 8.2 kg top louder WF-8071TTP
This dE error or fault code to indicate that the door is not latching properly. Check the lid or door operation to be sure it's not binding and that the door alignment is correct. Also, check the door/lid hinges to be sure they're not binding. Finally, make sure the door catch is in place and not broken. You may need to replace the door hook/catch or the door lock assembly.
