SE in led code and not spinning- what's wron?
Using a multi meter check for continuity the door switch, which when bad may not allow agitation or spin. The lid switch assembly can fail either mechanically or electrically.
Check the clutch, brake assembly and transmission, one way to check for slipping is to get under the machine after a spin cycle ( this is if u get a lil spin but not much leaving clothes still wet) mix in a spray bottle a lil water and some dish detergent, then spray it on the clutch assembly ( the metal round pc. Connected to the tranny) if it sizzles and steams up then u know its bad and slipping. Another way to check clutch if u get no spin at all? Is to take it out and use ur hand to try and turn the inner spring assembly pushing it around the inside? If its very easy, it BAD should be hard to push by hand.
Next check the motor coupler which engages the tub and tranny to the motor. ( if its bad u usually get no wash or spin or very little of either)
Next check for a loose, worn or broken belt if belt driven.
On some front load models u may need to check the STATOR assembly.

Water won't turn off
Sounds like the pressure switch is not working.two reasons for this the tube that operates the switch to turn off the water sits outside the drum and is normally full of air.as the drum begins to fill it increases the air pressure in the tube to the point where it trips the switch to turn off the water input.if the tube fills with water it will not operate the turn off part of the operation.you either check the tube for water by open inning the top and disconnecting the rubber hose from the drum and empty out any water.this should make it operational again.if not then it is probably the switch itself.easily replaced by parts obtain through eBay for your model machine.not difficult to do, tutorials on YouTube are available on this topic.

8 YEAR OLD LG FRONT LOAD WASHER WONT SPIN OR DRAIN
If the washer won't spin the stator or rotor assemblies at the back of the washer tub might be bad or damaged. The rotor is essentially one half of a motor, it interacts with the tub by creating a strong electro-magnet. If the rotor fails or is damaged the washer might not spin or agitate. Check the rotor for damaged magnets or other defects

Can you adjust the water level on the LG Tromm WM1814CW?
No. Water level is not user adjustable. The washer will automatically put in the correct amount (about 3 inches in the bottom of the tub) and adjust for load size and type. This level is all that is needed. The reason the clothes are hardly wet at the end of the cycle is due to the high spin speed (compared to almost all top loading machines). If you want to see how wet the clothes really are, pause the machine mid cycle and the door will unlock and you can see, or select a "no spin" option and see at the end of that cycle. You will use about 12 gallons of water for a large load, vs. about 45 for a top loading machine, so remember to adjust your soap and fabric softener use accordingly. ( one tablespoon detergent and one teaspoon fabric softener maximum per load)

My lg front loader wont spin
If the machine does not spin then either the stator or rotor assemblies are faulty. If the rotor or stator fails or is damaged the washer might not spin or agitate.

I need to force my lg tromm to drain
My LG Tromm washer has a small door on the bottom left hand side on the front of the washer. Open the door and you will find the drain filter and a stoppered, small rubber tube. Position something to capture the washer water under the small rubber tube and pull the plug.. This will drain all the water from the washer.

Burnt smell bits of plastic found inside
A WM1814CW does not have a built-in water heater, so I think your
load may have gotten trapped between the spinning tub and plastic
front tub cover..Roll back the gray gasket to expose and check the
plastic ring for signs of 'friction' burn..As long as the splinters are
trimmed away and doesn't leak water you should be OK..Watch your
loads..Don't Overload!

LG WM1814CW washer - doesn't fill with water.
Hi
If the washer won't fill you'll need to check for the water
inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the pressure/water level switch assembly.
Inspect the inlet hose coming to the washer for any blockages. If the hose is
not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the water will
not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve is bad and
should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check continuity on inlet
valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace
the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is fine then the
pressure/water level switch assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps...
Please post back if you need more information.

I have an LG washer that will not unload water
Washer Won't Drain
1) Check your drain hose to make sure it's not kinked, plugged, or frozen
2) Check that the impeller for the drain pump isn't plugged. It's behind the service door at the bottom left front of the washer. If it's plugged remove the obstruction.
If these solutions don't help you may wish to get an authorized tech in. The other possible causes include a disconnected or damaged connector (the front of the washer must be removed to access its location), a defective Drain Pump Assembly, or a defective Main PWB (system Board) Assembly.
Additionally, diagnosing the last two causes involve significant dis-assembly, multimeter testing while the washer has power, and purchasing expensive parts ( Pump $60US, Board $190US).
Finally, if you live in Canada there's a problem getting replacement parts; LG Canada's policy is to only supply parts to service providers. Additionally, while LG US will sell individuals parts, you would have to get any parts you need shipped to someone in the US who can then forward the parts to your Canadian address.
