Remove the top of the washing machine cover to access thehot and cold water solenoids. Disconnect power to the washer and wioe clean around the the manifold. See where leak is coming from . it could befrom the solenoid valves threads.

There really is a sensor magnet that is necessary for door lock mechanism to work. Not sure about service call charge, but if it works the he did fix it anyway

How old is the washing machine?

Check to see if the washer is level, and adjust the leveling legs if necessary. Always lock the legs in place after adjustment to keep them from getting loose as they do work themselves loose during heavy vibration conditions. The following items could cause the vibration problem: 1. Clutch assembly 2. Vibration dampers that support the tub. Should one or more be faulty, always replace all four simultaneously.

Next check the motor coupler which engages the tub and tranny to the motor. ( if its bad u usually get no wash or spin or very little of either) Next check for a loose, worn or broken belt if belt driven.
